****ing Probert. You'd have had to have been the Venus de Milo or have thalidomide to get out of the way of that. Watch the Daily Mail, and fatty Samuel in particular, justify those attrocious decisions based upon Suarez's reputation, even though he wasn't playing. Wonder what Poll will say about it...
Its seems like the refs are have their own little comp to see who can turn sown the most blatant penalty. Dont even start me on the treatment of sterling, straight out of soccer am's kung fu academy and a clear ****in red.
It's been a joke but it won't change until we have a referee who is off the pitch, sitting in front of 20 monitors and making judgement on proper evidence and then relaying the message onto the 'on pitch' referee. This is what football needs.
One other word about THAT pen though. In justifying his dreadful decision Probert gestured his hands in front of his face, as if this in itself is worthy of a penalty if the ball strikes your hand. So, even from ten yards and not from the yard and a half that Allen tried to evade last night, should you have your hands protecting your gonads at a free kick and the ball strikes them, then that's a penalty? They're not in a 'natural' position, so therefefore it must be. Won't be on Saturday though when one of our players slams the ball against an opponent in front of the Kop with someone like Dowd or webb reffing.
Interesting that no one mentions Skirtel shirt pulling In the first half? The standard of officials this season has dropped terribly mind theres not a game without a howler or two In It... Take yesterday Utd clearly should have been 3-0 ahead as the goal was not offside (so the officials you lot are always bitterly moaning about being corrupt toward Utd clearly not so) game probably would have been less tense toward the end Rio wouldnt have had a coin In his mush your not the only victims you know...
Dear Victim, Yes Indeed a bit like that you win some you lose some as have we this season... I noticed you only bothered to comment on part of my post so whats your take on Skirtel shirt pulling In the first half then?
You mean the incident that fat Sam never even bothered to mention, yet he said the peno they actually got was harsh. Funny guy you are.
It happens mate, we had 2 perfectly good goals struck off at the same end in the game against Newcastle which cost us 2 points. I'm not a believer of the "it evens itself out" nonsense though, which is basically wheeled out to excuse ****e refereeing decisions, but you just have to accept it & move on, otherwise it fries your nut.
One of the retired referees fraternity said on SSN a few weeks ago that he knows there's a campaign among referees and linesmen not to give Suarez decisions they know are in his favour because they feel he tries to trick them. They in that case are breaking the rules they are supposed to be implementing, since they turned pro they are a law unto themselves.
To answer your bullshit WUM...yes Skrtel was pulling a shirt same as West Ham players were doing all game and there was a far worse one in the second half when Collins was climbing all over Gerrard (obviously Sky didn't dwell on that one, the blatant red for the studs in Sterlings groin which they described the yellow car as for an "accumulation of fouls"d, the terrible pen decisions, the endless injury time for Fergies best mate fat sam)....now **** off bellend
Dear WUM These things happen on both sides in every game and yes, if seen, might result in a penalty. But the comparison is false- the point is that Allen's was not one of those that escaped the refs notice, but one that he interpreted unfairly. Allen did not deliberately put his hand to the ball, and as it was at point- blank range he couldn't possibly have got it out of the way. Fair play to Sam for conceding that it was harsh.
