First doesnt shake hands then gets in a moody over Jose wanting to celebrate with a young fan after Torres winner . Doubt we will see the gutter press make much of it tho had Jose acted in that way he'd get slaughtered on the back pages as the enemy of football. Also anyone notice Chapman on MOTD desperately trying to pin the blame for our winner on Nastasic when it was clearly another master class in how to **** up by the golden haired second coming .
Harsh. Just think Pellegrini misunderstood the situation. From his point of view it was a provocative celebration in front of his bench when tensions were high. Jose explained the reasons for it and apologised. Rather than feed that information to Pellegrini they spun it to create more headlines. One thing Pellegrini has is class. Disagree with his assessment of the game though. To suggest we only had one chance in the first half was beyond myopic.
Jose is a tad weird this time around, looks very much like he's really feeling the pressure. Chill out Jose, you are here for the long haul, and we need a steady, sensible program of building . To do that we need strong foundations, and it starts this season. No more boom or bust, get the core right, and add one or two seriously great players each year. We have 20 youngsters of incredible talent waiting to be slotted into the master plan. All we need is a conductor to make the orchestra play.
Totally agree with CP. He seems to be butt kissing far too much. I get the feeling that he realised at Madrid that not everyone thinks the sun shines out of his arse. So having had a long think about this, he realised everyone at Chelsea worships his butt. So is over trying in avoiding rejection again.
Fans are fickle. The hierarchy could not wait to get him out. He does not want to get on the wrong side of Abramovich again....and he is using his relationship with the fans as a demonstration to Abramovich about how much Chelsea FC love him. However Abramovich cares not a jot.
Nothing to do with us being 2nd in the table and getting better by the game then Twat fits more than Pelligrini.
No nothing to do with that, you know that and so do I. Being second in October means nothing to Abramovich. Moronio is aware of this as well hence his butt kissing indirect pleas.
Who exactly is Mourinho suppose to be 'butt kissing'? (Butt kissing, seriously? Are you a 12 year old yank?)
Yes he is more reserved this time but he is also much wiser. Better to hold his cards close to his chest. He knows this time there is a different requirement and is acting accordingly. He has nothing to prove, we know this and so does everyone else. His reactions are on the level of how the fans feel and we love him for it. Would FSW have done the dive into the crowd? More managers should be like him. Maybe they would last longer in their jobs.
Most managers behave with more dignity...You would never seen Pep, Klopp, Ancellotti, Capello, Cruyff, SAF, Clough , the Liverpool managers of the past, and other great managers dive into the crowd after a goal...just to get the crowd to "love" him. It is a bit tawdry and cringe making TBH...
I reckon a lot of manager don't want to shake hands after some matches, but they grit their teeth and still manage it which is what Pellegrini should have also done. Just so that there's no bad blood between the managers and to show and as a sign they are strong enough to take the result and score. They shook hands before the match, so it must have been something during it which caused Pellegrini to refuse him, possibly Jose's celebrations which he thought were over the top or didn't like him running in front of the bench to get to the fans. Maybe one day he will feel the euphoria of scoring a 90th minute winner against a top team and title rival and then understand why someone would react like that.
How is celebrating with your fans a sign of lacking dignity? And then coupled with those poor examples, like Klopp for instance. Did you not see his actions toward the one of the officials during the Napoli match? It was like he was auditioning for a remake of Psycho. Jose doesn't need to get the crowd to love him, the fans already do as was witnessed by them actually being the ones to jump on him when he confirmed that he was actually going for his son who was sitting behind the dugout.
Everyone loves to see passion from their own, I absolutely loved it. It was a great moment and just more evidence that we have come out of this manager merry go round a lot better than any of our rivals - especialy Man USA. 2 points off the top having had the hardest fixtures (on paper), 4-6 points ahead of the 2 mancs, top of our C.L group and a tasty league cup tie tomorrow, it's looking good.
