We messed up a bit going 2-0 down, were a bit lucky to get back into it with the offside goal and then very unlucky to lose it at the end. I can't work out whether we were robbed or not

Think after watching that, that the youth are better/more beneficial players than our "better" players when it comes to international level as they are more hungry to make a name for themselves early in their career on a international stage.Where as our "better" players already have that fame and fortune. As OLM answered my earlier question(cheers) they play for charity anyway (i.e a reluctant nothing!.. i bet).So stick with youth and Pearce as they already have seen him as somewhat of a father figure since they were like 14 or summat anyway. Not flash Harry bringing the old unpaid ****e back in so they can all quoff champagne and bring WAGS over for the euros.

Thats my worry, he will play safe with the usual suspects for the Euros and we will have the same scenario we've had for the last 12 years, fear, failure, dummies spat out, not to mention the whole wag circus away from the football, they should tell them to stay away for the duration of the tournament, its not like the lads are away for six months working at sea or anything

I liked the team Pearce put out tonight with the squad he had and could imagine it with Rooney replacing Welbeck up front and Wilshire coming into midfield for Gerard and Oxlade-Chamberlain and Young out wide being pretty decent though not sure over Barry i'd probably put Jones at DM instead. Cole and Terry possibly coming in to add experience at the back. Couple more warm ups for whoever is in charge to get the squad right, but I think we will do ok in the Euros if we dont see Ferdinand, Terry, Johnson, Cole, Gerard, Lampard all starting the first match

it all comes down to who they pick as manager

Stick with Pearce and he will make thew right choices and I expect lampard to never start another england game, along with ferdinand and possibly terry...

Bring Harry in and we're ****ed. He will comply to all the ****ing media pressure and play his godson or whatever the **** he is Lampard.

We do need some experience but I think Parker should play a big role as captain in that. Unless gerrard turns his season around he's out imo.

I don't really like Terry but he's not our worst defender and could give some guidance to the younger ones if he chooses to redeem himself.

yeah your spot on.we need the famed and fortuned but still die for england type players in mixed with youth ala Beckham being more than a fair example!..Think give nod to Rooney but he needs to find that spark he had for england once for sure or fk off!.

I don't buy this idea that just because a player has been established for a long time in the time he must be now crap. Lampard for example is still one of the top scorers in the PL, he's just hit double figures for the 9th consecutive year and we're only halfway through. You can't leave someone that good out. People say Terry is too old now but ask a Chelsea fan who's better out of him and Luiz (Brazil's 1st choice CB) and they'll tell you it's Terry. However I'm not sure about Ferdinand or Gerrard these days simply because they don't play enough!

With everyone available I'd like something like:

    ........................Hart
    Richards.... Terry..... Cahill..... Cole
    ..........Lampard Parker Wilshere
    Johnson..................................Young
    ........................Rooney
