There can't be many Gasheads who haven't thought what could have been if he'd been given a bit more time last season. Would we have gone down? Who knows?

One thing's for sure - that man knows how to beat an 82 team, two out of two!

Mind you, there are very few managers and coaches in the Championship that don't know to to beat an 82 team!!

Never thought we would get relegated with Trolls. However, I didnt thikn we would go any further either which is why I didnt mind seeing a new face. Little did I know it would destroy us in the long run. I think Losing Trolls, Lennie and Rickie has really smashed this club to pieces and now we are struggling to replace those. Harrold is a good addition to the squad and is the closest thing we have had to a Lambo replacement, so Buckle deserves a little credit for that I suppose

I think a lot of what has/is going on is down to man management. Look at all the ex-Rovers players who were crap here and shifted out - only to go on to other clubs and be their star players - Mark Wright is one example! I thought he was outstanding against us at the Mem, but in the blue and white quarters didn't really get going! And in the reverse - a certain Mr Stanley was Morecombes player of the year (I think - or there abouts) and with all due respect he aint exactly lighting up the Mem! Even our old mate Renee Howe is scoring down in Torquay - something we couldn't get him to do here! So I can only presume that somewhere along the lines there is a serious undercurrent of miss management, whether this stems from board level I don't know - but it's been around I would say ever since we won at Southampton 3 - 2 and then got demolished by Norwich the following Saturday. For me - that was when the rot started and it hasn't stopped - YET!

I agree Rhine, does appear that the rot set in after Southampton. We were doing well at that point and if I remember correctly 3rd or 4th in league one at the time? It suddenly all went down hill afterwards lol.

thing is, i didnt want PT to go and thought it was a very bad decision. a lot of gasheads did want him gone. grass aint always greener. since he gone we had patterson, penney, campbell then relegation and now buckle. i never thought i would see us again as we were in the dark days under graydon/atkins. but i think we are very close to that poor performance/standard. due to buckles arrogance and being just a twat puts him as my all time worse rovers manager.
