I think at some points we were all shouting that. I can only go from what I saw on the football pitch and from the small amount of game time we saw he looked a very good player, often getting lauded. It'll be interesting to see how many MOM he got in comparison to the games he played. He was unfortunate to get injured when he did and it's clearly held him back, if he's a problem off the pitch that's fair enough and good riddance but from what I've seen of him on the pitch he was far above the quality we have at the club at the moment.
I think it also brings home the point that spending £££s doesn't mean a thing.......it's talent you need to bring in and not price tags....
Apparently our top earner too! At least we've settled it and won't have paid the entire 100% he was owed, probably 60-80% so a slight saving. He annoys me as he has plenty of ability but clearly not the attitude! Shame.
as a person an arsehole and one I would not want in our squad BUT he did show attacking flair that we really do lack and you cant blame him for the fact that someone agreed to a wage which was not in keeping with his ability. He did come here with a bad reputation so in all fairness the blame lays firmly at the clubs feet for not making a well rounded judgement.
