Driving down for the semi final and just wondered if anyone has any good suggestions re parking close to the stadium please ? I cant pre book anything as yet as hiring a car and dont know the registration lol. Would it be a gamble to turn up on the day and hope to find somewhere ? I remember for the 2008 play off final there was some car parking available at business's / office blocks near to the stadium. Any ideas / suggestions be warmly appreciated :)

I would suggest driving to the closest outlying tube station on your way in and take the tube all the way to the stadium. The tubes quick and efficient. Used it recently when we played Man City and were half way home before friends on coaches actually left Wembleys carpark.

    This.

You'd be better stopping at Watford or Harrow and getting the tube in. Both are on the same line (Metropolitan) as Wembley Park.

Don't listen to them, parked about half a mile from the ground took me about 10 minutes to walk to the ground, we where back on the way home in about 5-10 minutes, no idea where everyone gets this idea Wembley is hard to park at. I've been a few times (about 4) never had a single problem getting in and out.

There's plenty within half a mile of the ground, take your pick mate.

For previous London games we've parked at Cockfosters station, just off M25. As its a Sunday game there should be no problem getting in the station car park.

You can only park safely if you make it into one of the pay car parks, if you stick it on the road within the restricted parking area(which is big - http://www.brent.gov.uk/media/1973329/Event day parking zone map.pdf ) then you risk having it towed. I lived within the zone and they tow everything they can.

Did you try putting a disabled badge in the window?

And they still took it? Cockney bastards, Derby's police were much better, they took one look at it and decided we were fine to park our minibus next to the no arking cone in the bus stop outside the ground.

My suggestion would be Stanmore, I used to work almost opposite the station and it is an easy trip on Jubilee line to Wembley. It is just off M1 J4 (so easy in/out) and it is just £1.50 (if i remember correctly) to park on a Sunday. It has been suggested that Stanmore might be rammed with both City and Blades fans so my next suggestion is Rickmansworth which is just 5 mins off M25 J18 with Metropolitan line straight to Wembley, there is a car park right opposite and one just along next to Waitrose.

Neither are next to Wembley but offer easy drives in and out and you will miss all the inevitable congestion getting out of Wembley, round the North Circular and then up the first bit of the M1.
