Anyone know the parking situation at St Marys? Noticed it says '£8 park & ride' on the ticket. Is this another Brighton style rip-off? Is there any cheap or easy parking at the ground?

PS. Cant post this on Southampton board from my phone. Can OLM or DMD oblige?

I always park at East Street Shopping centre, cost £2-3 and is 15 minute walk, you'll be able to find stadium easy as everyone will be walking there.

The city centre and surrounding areas (e.g. Bedford Place) are only a 15 - 20 minute walk away from the ground, and there's a fair bit of free evening parking doted around there.

Leisure World is a great place to park if you also want free afternoon parking, but that's more of a 30 minute walk to the ground.

The other side of the Itchen bridge is always good. Being parked out there you catch none of the traffic on the way out of town.

There's an industrial estate off mount pleasant road that people use. 10 minute walk, free. Or if you want, you can ay a fiver down millbank street.

The park and ride is miles away and not worth it.
It all depend on where you are driving in from. West Quay shopping centre outside parking is free after six. Millbank Street gets busy and my yard there can be a real pain.
The Bernard Street long stay is about the best. There is a footbridge that is a good short cut through to the industrail estate by St Mary's, nearby pubs on Oxford Street may by wary of away fans.

Ocean Village! Nobody parks there its like nobody knows about it. Drive just past Ocean Village as we know it (cinema, tesco) and turn right into the car park around the nice new flats. Car park is always half empty on matchdays and only about £3 to park, 10 minute walk from ground.
