"We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with West Ham United for the permanent transfer of Scott Parker. The England international's impressive displays for West Ham last season saw him named the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year. The midfielder began his career with Charlton Athletic, making his debut in 1997 aged just 16, before joining Chelsea in January, 2004 and was crowned PFA Young Player of the Year at the end of the 2003/04 campaign. Parker, who has represented England at every level from Under-16 through to senior, joined Newcastle United in June, 2005 and went on to captain the side during two seasons at St James' Park." Good news, now Cahill and Striker please Spurs.
Parker pictured in White (England) shirt. Nice touch, don't want any claret and blue shirts on our site!
Agreed. Gives us a bit more time to look for those 2 extra players. I don't know about others but I feared Parker would go until the last minute, hampering any chances of picking up the players we need.
Anyone that lives in Essex should be aware of the threat of smoke inhalation, as there will be a large number of claret and blue bonfires burning tonight.
Well thank god that is done.Spurs always take sooo long on deals and as said by almost all now a striker and Cahill.
