we are a smaller team now, were not under bobby robson, we havent got sir john hall in charge and were not going to sign world class players anymore. he's not making us feel smaller, he's just telling the truth but your too deluded to believe it, i dont mind being a selling club if we stay in premier league in the long term becuase that would mean buying small, selling big abd getting this club out of debt becuase if ashley wasnt in charge (even though i hate him) then we would be supporting FC United of Newcastle by now.
get real, understand that we will have to sell players but be assured that we will get good players in, id rather have Tiote for 3.3m than have Essian for 33m wouldnt you? it makes sence, we will get good player for small amounts or on free's, and maybe once or twice we will spend 12/14m on a player, but only if they're worth it.
as for Pardew he's a smart guy, he knows what he's talking about, he knows ashley will sell players now that Carroll has gone so he's come out and said we might not keep hold of our best player, he would be stupid to create a Carroll mark 2 situation.
