‏@StringerSport Pearson on Chris Wood "He has a knock on his knee, not too concerned about it. Hopefully will be available for the next league game" All the theory's about bust ups aswell can stop
This was classic Pearson - not saying anything until he was sure about the injury. He didn't want to make any assumptions until he knew the facts, nothing more.
Not so fast I'm afraid boys - he's out for the Huddersfield replay AND Wigan if we get through ... don't like the smell of that at all! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21412505
It seems the injury might be slightly worse than was first thought... please log in to view this image
I don't get what all the hoo-hah is about. Why do BBC seem to be making a big deal out of it? Are they just bored, and trying to create a story? "He has a knock on his knee but it is not something we are too concerned about." That's just a standard thing to say, isn't it? He's hardly said "He might be injured, he might not be... It might be his ankle, might be his arm..."
The other strikers at the club need to step up and take their chance now, make it hard for Wood to get back in the side. They've got no chance mind, as soon as Wood is back he'll be in again but they can at least try. I'd put Futacs in. It'll probably be Waghorn or Vardy though
Why? Pearson said he should be back for the next LEAGUE match, not this saturday. Relax, the lad took a little knock, end of story.
Some dude on foxestalk is saying he's going to be out for a while, fracture on his knee fvckin hope not!
