So it's a completely different club then right?

It's a wonder criminals don't change their names, they'd get a clean criminal record, a fresh start being a completely different person and those locked up will get instant release as they're not the same person who got sentenced. Right?

Do you get many 109 year old's getting released from prison?

I ask again, what is the club if it's not the name.

You're going to the wrong people to try that strategy, just offer the cash to Sepp Blatter and get him to force the FA's hand. He'll accept it no problemo.

What does age have to do with it? You're logic is something under a different name is a completely different entity. Unless you're specifying that only comes into force upon reaching 109 years of age.

I'll tell you what it is, a bloody football club. Duh.

I think AA knows how apathy of the masses work.Add to that the fact we are doing ok in the Prem I doubt he will give the protesters any assistance.I think you will wither on the vine TBH.
I genuinely feel for BCC.No amount of explaining will convince him we will still exist even with a name change. If we lose the word City from our name today I will still be going to watch city play palace this weekend .Some will say they are off to watch the tigers play the eagles-good luck to both groups.

Precisely, you're not so why do people keep bothering? I never bring it up or try to convince other people first, they always respnd to a comment Ive made.

And I genuinley feel sorry for the people who are prepared to rollover and let a despot mentalist royally **** us up the arse to destroy something that generations have devoted their time to loving and preserving. But it's ok as long as a team in the East Riding somewhere with a funny name is doing ok on the pitch.... I just hope you can look your grandchildren in the face when they ask "what happened to Hull City?"

He doesn't have to give us any assisatnce. He may not reply to the letter. Although by not organising a consultation he will be in breach of Premier League rules. He doesn't have to hold a vote but it is one way he could ensure his compliance. if he doesn't want to abide he could create his own league outside the FA and the Premier League.

I don't want the name change but the more over the top ridiculous bollocks I read on here the more I realise its just a fecking name and the less I care about it. The thing that bothers me most about it all is the fact it's introducing Americanism into a proud British tradition, I've not once worried that I won't have a club to support next season because it might be operating under a slightly different title.

And at least we'll have grandchildren to look in the eye <laugh>

Have the FA/PL confirmed their policy about changing names yet? And if so do you care to share the details?

The march would and you know it. You're too scared to do it. The poster from CI had it right.

"If he agrees" he doesnt have to agree to anything with you lot. You are nobodys who want to be somebodys.

I dont want any of you lot anywhere near the running of my club and thankfully neither does Mr Allam, because lets face it thats what a lot of the committee's end game is, a place on the board.

So your view is basically, I don't like it at all, but worse things happen at sea?

We simply want a ballot of all Hull City season ticket holders, exactly as AA offered at the meeting.

He's since been told he'd lose that ballot, so now 'nobody tells him what to do'.

I am absolutely certain that a ballot of fans would see a name change vote go in our favour, that's why there won't be one, though that leaves AA with a big problem with regard to fan consultation.

Which is why you want to word the question in consultation with him. Because he is going to word it so he wins. I realise that and so do you lot. Why should he do that for you? He does own it and spunked all that money in.

AA's question. If i change the name XXXXXXX company will pay us 5 10 (make up your own number) million a year for 5 10 years. This will ensure our survival and enable us to be self sufficient. If we stay as we are they wont and i wont continue to fund the club and will gradually take all my money back as we gently slide down the leagues back to where some want us to be.

    YES

    NO

    Please tick a box.

Pretty much, although if there was something I could do about it I would. I'm not going to get all hysterical about it though like some of the knicker wetters on here are.

He's had 1 consultation already. He'll probably have more, but has no reason whatsoever to include CTWD or the fan forums either. The OSC would suffice and we both know what that means.

Simple facts are: so far all marches have been disappointing, online polls are worthless, you still are despite your protestations a noisy minority who's sold some lovely scarves and given away some badges.

    The question is simple.

    As AA might say:

"Do you want stay in Premier League or go back to League 8"

I agree with you, but isnt it telling that we have to choose the option that requires people to do the very least to show their stance? ie tick a box. If we held another march or a protest I bet you'd get 150 max particpating in either. It's really quite odd the general 'this is how we feel but we cant be bothered to do anything' approach. And that unfortunately adds weight to Allam's assertion that people really arent that bothered.

I wonder what it would take to get people voting with their feet? Moving outside of East Yorkshire or dropping the Hull altogether perhaps? Cos I honestly think that'll be next, we drop Hull to just Tigers and move east so we increase our market opportunity to the whole of the north rather than just East Yorkshire. I honestly think he's that out of touch with how football isnt purely a business like any other.

Again I think you're right. Apathy is the most dominant personality trait in Hull I'm afraid.

How can you be so certain? It's likely he may have to 'consult' with the Season-ticket holders, via a plebiscite/referendum.

I bet you anything you like that if they sent out ballot forms to say 20k season ticket holders, you would get 10% returns if lucky. Those 10% wouldnt all vote the way you hope either.

You can't get people to vote for local Councillors and Politicians who DO have a HUGE impact on their lives, what makes you think it would be any different for this?
