PALACE HEADLINE GAME II

Using Arbitrator's discretion, it's in the Rules ask JPF, as only two people have received any votes the final will be a two way "play off" for the coveted title of ......winner. The rules are as before but for those with an attention span equivalent to ACS listening to any person whatsoever when there's a "ginger" around they are as follows:

1. You only have one vote.
2. You can vote for yourself.
3. You are voting for the BEST headline.
4. On this occasion you can change your vote.
4. If there is a tie I have the deciding vote against which there is no appeal or whining. My decision is based on all relevant factors that I think are relevant.

May the best headline win.

 

Who to vote for, RolyPoly of the Gay Lord.
Both upstanding citizens, neither cheat apparently, so its a tough one.......think I'll vote tactically on this occasion

 

Roly gets my vote - same as in round 1.

 

With all the cheating going on here recently, its refreshing to see there is still at least one person (other than myself) of integrity here who we can all trust.

Trev,I'm suprised you didn't invoke rule 105 subclause 13c:
"In the event that there are fewer than 3 people with votes at the end of round 1, the Gamesmaster may decide to include himself /herself as the third finalist and ultimately to then determine that he/she is the winner of said final."

 

Another tie.

Both finalists should be banned for 'Not trying to Win'.

Neither voted for themselves and effectively settled for Mediocrity.
No trace of any deception whatsoever.
What sort of example is this setting.

Vote for Roly, then beg JPF on bended knees to have the casting vote, again for Roly, knowing damn fine well, that Trevor will do the opposite and declare you the Winner. Genial method of cheating, whilst appearing as though you're playing fair.

Well,well,well, another tie. By the JPF Rules are getting a hammering recently. Who is the winner?

As usual in my effort to be fair and even handed and to retain the true integrity of the game I will set out my reasoning so all can see how unbiased I am.

1.The voting itself resulted in a tie at 3-3.

2. The original voting was also a tie at 4-4. The reduction of votes for each headline showing that neither headline really caught the voting publics heart.

3. Neither headline was in real terms up to the expected standard of the Headline Game. A point both finalists must surely agree with.

4. As Carver Heed has pointed out neither finalist voted for themselves. Rolly couldn't be bothered to vote and Oh Be One even voted for the other finalist.

In a situation such as this then I can only invoke JPF Rule 46 in it's entirety. The result of doing so means that NEITHER finalist wins and the incumbent winner of the last competition is retained and crowned as winner of the current game provided he submitted an entry which was of high quality. On reviewing who the previous winner was and then checking whether he entered this competition and considering the quality of his entry in this competition I am proud to announce.......

Sound the fanfare again....

The clear and unanimous winner is....

If that wasn't so eloquently put (and the Jim Carrey clip helped), I'd have suggested my vote could then be placed for Obby the House Elf, thus making him the winner.

I'm gracious like that. Besides which my headline was a bit too depressing, laughter should be a pre-requisite.

 

I'd like to congratulate Trev. As a fellow multiple headline game winner, I know how gratifying it is to beat this bunch of ******ed simpletons.

I would hasten to add that this is but a temporary victory and I look forward to more challenges ahead starting with the Man City game headline.
