I sat and watched the Brighton v Leeds game last night which ended 2-2 and thought it was a great game. I thought Paddy Kenny was absolutely brilliant in goal and knew it was a huge mistake to have swapped him for Rob Green.(What were you thinking of Sparky?) He definitely was the main reason Leeds got anything out of the game. I happen to be one of those that actually agree with NW who said after the game that not only is he the best keeper in the championship but probably one of the best in the premiership (although probably not the best as NW likes to claim). Yes he made the very odd mistake and came in for a bit of critisism last year but over i think the 2 seasons he played for us he was the reason we got as many points as we did.
Yes, quite agree, I watched the 2nd half and Paddy looked pretty solid and agile, especially on the penalty save where he even held onto the ball - very nonchalant getting ready to receive the shot, like an actor stepping off, then back onto stage.
Was at the Amex last night, and Kenny was their MOTM without a doubt. Brown was lucky to be on the pitch to score too... Seagulls were robbed.
Kenny was poor last season compared to our Championship winning season. Wouldn't swap him for Cesar...
He was great in our last championship game but his first in the premier league was not good. He didn't have the same command and seemed shaky.
Just confirms Championship is his level. Great keeper there but couldn't quite cut it in prem. Would have been a good number 2 but he didn't want that which is fair enough.
Kenny makes several mistakes which go unpunished in the Championship but always get punished in the Prem. Will only ever be a championship keeper.
I don't think he had the best defence in front of him last season and in a strange way it reiterates my point about players not performing and managers not performing. I say at this present time that Hughes can't manage us at this level.
We don't need a motormouth ( kenny), as 'Northolt' says ............... we have 'Hail Cesar' .......... it's good to be King!
Kenny went from hero to zero, would love Leeds to get drawn at Loftus Road in the F.A cup so we can get our own back on the mouthy bastard
Think he got some bad press actually and we should have kept him... defo better option than Green. Like him, shame about his big gob !
Hail Cesar...and don't forget what Fan's Player of the Season Kenny said about us "tinpot little team" fans. Will not cannot forgive him for that, as I cannot forgive Colin for heaping so much praise on the little ***** el Diouf.
