SSN just said that contract talks with Paddy Kenny has stalled. He was promised a bigger contract for getting promoted and apparently we are unwilling to give him his new contract.

Bang out of order, could see Warnock walking if he lost Paddy.

The Sun re WBA search for goalies:

"...QPR's Paddy Kenny is also in the frame.

    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/spo....l#ixzz1RaZ8kWlx

The Sun - Carlton hits £6m jackPott
HOT TO POTT ... Carlton Cole is closing in on Stoke move

...And England goalkeeper Rob Green could make it a nap hand after moving to the top of West Brom's wishlist.

Albion boss Roy Hodgson wants a new stopper - and fancied Green and Birmingham No 1 Ben Foster.
Relegated Brum will not budge on their £9m valuation of Foster and that would price Baggies out of a deal.
Green would be available at less than half that and Hodgson admitted both are names on his radar.
QPR's Paddy Kenny is also in the frame.

Hodgson said: "There are good goalkeepers available at the moment in the sense that they don't want to play in lower divisions - you'd be talking about Foster and Green.
"And goalkeepers who are second choice at their club despite having a lot of experience.
"If anything we have a barrage of suggestions and possibilities."
    ....

Not and never will be surprised at what these owners will do next. They are capable of anything.

This sort of thing happens all the time. The player's agent asks for too much, the board refuse and maybe (maybe not) make an offer of an improved contract in exchange for a contract extension. The agent doesn't like it and walks away from the table. The agent then starts calling all the media men and tells them that "talks have stalled" because the club won't offer a contract having promised this and promised that. This is then reported on SSN or in the Sun. :emoticon-0172-mooni

The next week the club will make a very slightly better offer (probably give the player first choice when the biscuit assortment is handed round) and the player signs the contract extension. A week later and all is forgotten.

The agents play these sorts of games all the time tryingto get better deals that the ones they were promised. All the bullshit is just part of the game they play to make it look as if the millions they make off the back of English football is justified.

Last year was the fist time in a long long time (poss Dave Seaman / Jan Stejskal era), that we have has a very good keeper. Would seem a bloody stupid thing to do to let one of you major spine players of the squad leave? Hopefully this is just press bs

I hear what you're saying Eamon and have no doubt you're right.

It's just that this is not the first time we've heard that the squad have not got what they were promised by the club. This does nothing for team and individual morale. We can't have key players affected in this way.

    And we also heard that
    - we were going to be docked 15 points
    - we were going to sign lots of Italians
    - Mittal was going to buy the club by the end of the week (when Pratman and Robin were already at the Grand Prix)
    - Mackeral Smith wouldn't sign because he wanted the assurance that NW would still be at the club (when in fact no offer was made).
    - Derry is definitely going back to Palace

Need I go on? 95%+ of what we have been told in the media or by our own ITKs has been completely wrong.

Eamon - do they really get first dibs at the biscuits? I like those ones with 'NICE' written on them but never really knew if it meant they tasted good or were French.

    Taking the biscuit there Eamon!

Do you reckon the stuff on the players having to kick up to get their promotion bonuses didn't happen then?
