Chamberlain at least is a very good footballer with pace and a footballing brain unlike that waste of space Walcott who has pace and nothing else... but would hate to see him go to you lot and have his career ruined by Wenger he would be better of at Man U or Liverpool

I think it would hamper the boys development if anyone signed him this season. Southampton have just been promoted to the Championship and have a strong squad to compete well in that league. Let the kid adjust to that level first. If anyone did sign him this season, they'd probably end up just loaning him back to Southampton anyway. The only reason why the likes of Phil Jones, Carl Jenkinson and Jordan Henderson are getting snapped up now is because everyones trying to snap up the talent before it gets poached by another rival.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is an Arsenal-quality player in the making. The only question is whether he goes on to be an "average" Arsenal player (which would still better than almost anything we have), or a great one.

The money isn't an issue, because Arsenal are highly profitable. But Oxlade-Chamberlain is unlikely win anything this coming season. This can only be considered a good transfer window if you go on to sign a proven centre back, and make darn well sure that Clichy doesn't leave.

JET is a fecking donkey, I went through the pain of watching him play for my team Cardiff last year. So ****e its untrue, this guy may have a league 1 career if he's lucky.

An initial fee would only probably be around £5m - the rest, whether he makes it or not. Signs are that he will.

By the way, Walcott scored 13 goals for Arsenal last season from RW - I think he has made it successfully <ok>

afobe is also terrible, really, really TERRIBLE. wouldnt have any arsenal youth on loan, none of them seem to be any good. you'd think being premier league and having lots of money they could produce people with talent, apparently not.

The optimists on 606 used to think that he would be an England regular within 10 years! Can't agree with you about us not having a good academy though, Wilshire, Gibbs, Cole are all pretty good.

Defiantly 100% keep Chambo......we don't need the money, so I'd rather have him over some other Arsenal reserve

Sanchez Watt = Not great. JET = Ineffective. Afobe was good in League 1 but is still very raw and Southampton are stocked with strikers who ATM are better than him. Cant think of any youngsters from Arsenal that would be allowed to drop down to Championship level and that would actually benefit the Saints.

All 3 of those players are nowhere near arsenal standard.
