I have a professional opportunity to work with a company that buys young players and then leases them to clubs with a strategy of selling the players to the club they are playing for or onto another club two or three years later.

A few years ago there was a major controversy in England involving such deals relating to Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano.

I am wondering if anyone can provide me with references/links to the rules governing player contracts for:

    1) The Premier League,
    2) The Football League,
    3) Any other leagues.

Thanks for your assistance, in advance.

Time is of the essence so if anyone can post these by 8:00 pm UK time today that would be greatly appreciated.

    THANKS!

Effectively it is illegal in UK, but Kia Joorabchian is still involved with Tevez. Here we have the clubs owning the contracts, not a third party.

Just read this Jonny, hope it's not too late.

Right at the end of this .... http://www.premierleague.com/conten...e-to-culture-media-sport-select-committee.pdf

and this commentary might be of interest ... http://www.ffw.com/publications/all/articles/heros-or-villains.aspx

Didn't get a chance to check this out, but should be in there somewhere ...... http://www.thefa.com/thefa/rulesandregulations

Final comment - don't think UEFA see this as a problem, it's only the FA & a couple of other associations (may be wrong - haven't researched too much.

    hope this helps.

    Thanks.

I have now found out that this company is going to target African and South American players to play in continental Europe.

My next research needs to be obtaining published financial statements of premier league teams - which of them are still public companies?
