I once told Tom Wainwright that he was one of my favourite DJ's. **** knows why, I thought he was ****e. Him and Alistair Whitehead. I also have a Paul Oakenfold story but that's for another day.
One of my Uni mates got into DJing in the mid nineties. He was part of DJ MYNC and ended up doing sets all over the world DJing with some of the worlds top DJs.
Can't say I've heard of MYNC, whithout sounding like a pretentious arse what genre of music was that? Was it house?
No idea - when he started Uni he was into faith no more and nine inch nails. He left a dance dj - below is his sound cloud link which tells you a bit about him. He's done all sorts of stuff - global. Done mixes for Calvin Harris, Jose Nunez. DJ'd in some of the best clubs on the planet. He did the Welly in Hull quite a few years ago. Top bloke I think he owns a night club in Coalville now - where he was originally from. MYNC was a set up with 2 DJs 4 decks and 2 mixers. They were discovered by Pete Tong on Radio 1 and that made them global. https://soundcloud.com/nick-correlli

One of my DJ wearing DJing Uni mates, Dave Jackson, known around the DJing fraternity as DJ got into DJing in the mid ninties. DJ was part of the DJing set DJ MYNC and ended up doing DJing sets all over the DJing world in his DJ with some of the DJing worlds top DJs. Better?
No worries. It was probably a different DJ wearing DJ doing the DJing. Derek Johnson did a bit af DJing, probably him.
