Michu, canas pozuelo, and ben davies/neil taylor look like going this transfer window.this will probably provide us with around 25 million? given the wages we save on these players it more than offsets the gomis deal in salaries alone.so now what would we need to spend on and on who, considering the above scenario ?
no point having a manager who will not play his predessors picks so sell cana, poz, michu, davies is a waste of space defensivly
I've heard a few people say this. He's been caught out a few times, but I'm not sure I'd go anywhere near saying he's a waste of space.
playing in only his second season in the PL at 21 years old ,yes he's not as good as for example Jordi Alba but give the lad time who knows what he can achieve . Too many" I want it now" mentalities exist everywhere it seems
I keep banging on about this but the problem is not Ben Davies being poor defensively. The problem occurs when he is out of position supporting the attack. This is why we need a top class defensive midfielder to cover the gap he leaves at the back. We cannot attack en masse somebody has to defend.
Not so sure about Vorm now unless it's some part of exchange deal involving Gylfi at Spurs because Reina has gone back to Liverpool and thrown a spanner in the works of that transfer.

Whether we have comings and goings defensively or not, the defence needs organising. We need more dicipline and structure at the back. It's been a shambles at times.
If people think Davies is poor defensively i am staggered. I can only remember 1 or 2 people getting the better of him. There are not many left backs in the PL who are as good as him. But then perhaps some on here know a bit more than the likes of ML, GM and Pochetino. there is even a report I have read where they suggest that Mourinho is interested and should be chasing him as the natural replacment to Cole. Can all those people with better knowledge than us be wrong.
I don't think Davies is poor. He's still young and still learning. He's got great potential. If he's too adventurous at times then it's down to the manager to discipline the defence better.
So we have some saying he's so bad that we should get rid of him, while others think £8 million is too low a price. Slight difference of opinion there. How can fans have such a huge difference of opinion? Hopeless vs. More then £8 million. For the fans who think he's hopeless (musty), how much do you think he's worth?
