Yes it was Man U's reserves, but it was a team that contained Berbatov, Carrick, Fabio, Valencia, Park and Michael Owen - all his performance last night showed that he could easily play week in week out for a top 6 club but prefers to sit on the bench all season and play in the Carling Cup.

Second half we didn't do two badly, but we lack creativity, width and pace. It was a game when it was painfully obvious we missed Gradel. Keogh left wing? Our whole team is so narrow, and even on the rare occasions when we didn't hoof the ball up at any opportunity, we didn't have any way to break them down. No-one in our team, apart from Snodgrass (who is off-form) runs at players and creates space. We need a proper replacement from Gradel.

Tom Lees put in a poor performance. He's not a rightback defensively and cannot attack. That's one of the reasons Snoddy hasn't been playing well - he gets doubled up on and has no space because Lees doesn't overlap like Connolly does. Aidy White had a difficult job on his hands with Park and Valencia, but did okay, neither goal was his fault, just the lack of protection from the midfield.

Good atmosphere though, on both sides, although the flare and the banners are the saddest thing I've seen in a set of fans - what loser would actually spend their time and money to do this?

Yes they had some quality on the pitch but we didn't threaten much considering they never had a CB and the defence was made up of mainly midfielders. Even with 10 minutes to go when they went down to 10 men through the injury and Berbatov filled in at CB we never had a sniff on goal.

I'm delighted to see we didn't do too badly. God help us what it would have been like had we been bad then. Zero shots on target. Suppose thats ok

Still plenty of players to be proud of. Becchio, Clayton, McCormack, Lonergan and White are all looking like increasingly consistent performers, while Snodgrass, Nunez and Sam still have it in them to do damage when they are properly ready. Vaeyrynen and Forssell look cultured and could play a big part. The team shouldn't be written off yet. Not embarrassed at all after last night. It hurts to lose to scum, and I think the players were pretty poor for the most part, but surely it's coming, and I stick by my opinion that you don't need a flying start to do well in this division. It's all about momentum and making sure you take advantage of it when it's going in your direction. It has done over the last two league games and I think we still have plenty of fight in us yet, especially up front.

i agree to an extent of what you said. but we lacked creativity, something snoddy normally provides and didnt. I still think white was terrible, defenders struggle to deal with players at pace running at them. Look at bale, he isnt very good at all just quick and runs at defenders and he is successful. Thats what white needs to do

Bale has excellent delivery too; something White needs to develop if he's to become a decent attacking player at a level above League One. I think his defending has been acceptable so far this season. Certainly a better option than O'Dea, Parker or Taylor.

i dont think his defending has been acceptable, it has been better than parker and O'Dear. I did not get to see Taylor so i cannot really comment on him. You are right, bale does have very good delivery which white does not and needs to develop. But bale is a good example of what you can do with just pace. This is what white should at least be attempting, he just seems to get pushed of the ball so easily, its frustrating for me to watch aidy white. I would even think about playing connolly at left back at the moment.

got to disagree there i think whites being doing a great job at LB. hes had some tough tasks against diouf and valencia as well as the tricky adomah for bristol and came through ok. also hi pace allows im to overlap and cause problems, atm he is the only player offering decent width

Aidy White has played well since he's come into the first team. He put in a good performance against Hull, West Ham and against Ipswich then he's come back in and was probably our best player against Bristol City. He didn't do too badly against Man U either, he got stuck in, and got forward to support the attack.

His delivery isn't great, but he does get on the overlap and he does get pushed off the ball, but he's fast and does take it past people as he did on tuesday a few times. Remember he won't get harder games than against Park and Valencia, especially considering Keogh didn't really give him much help.

This is his first proper run in the Leeds team, and he has pace, gets stuck in, and gets forward well. He has the potential to become a good leftback. I don't know why people expect perfection from a 19 year old. Give him time to settle into the team, improve on his weaknesses and add to what have been promising performances so far. I'd go as far as saying he's been our best defender this season.

I was urging White to run the Man U full back but he never did, although to be fair I used to slag him for giving away possession in dangerous areas by doing that so in a way it is good to see he has matured a bit in that area of his game, as last thing we would want is those scum bags breaking away on us.

Bale has far far far more than just pace, lets be realistic. I don`t see clubs offering £40m for Usain Bolt.

Well i for one thinks we were certainly outclassed & embarrassed , inept etc

The whole club from the Admin to the players to the supporters really need a massive injection of enthusiasm from somewhere i don't know where from exactly but .............. A new owner maybe ? ..... A new NAMED Manager ?............ Major Backing ? etc ......... or at one time Big Name Players reaching the twighlight of the carreer's would drop down to pass on their experience & give an uplift to a club ............ ie Gordon Strachan's move to us etc .... but nowadays how many players just seem happy to stay and play for the premierships reserve sqauds sit on the bench etc i mean Michael Owen for instance 5th coice at Manu but seems quite happy ........ how many top players are like that , unbeleivable ..... it's not as if they need the money .... i'm not suggesting he should come to us but just trying to understand why? !!

    You were Embarrassed...

You didn't show any sort of resilience and were dominated by a Man Utd 3rd or 4th team from start to finish.

Giggs' goal summed up the game, a poor challenge from Clayton and an poor shot that managed to beat a defender and goalkeeper.

I don’t think we were embarrassed we just didn’t perform, simple really. If the ball had gone in from the goal line clearance who knows what could have happened. But that’s what footballs about.

If we’re talking embarrassing, I’d say your league position and some of your results would be up there. Especially considering how much you’ve spent and how much you and your fellow crisp munchers have gone on.

As for the Man U 3rd and 4th team how does that work then? Berbatov was there top scorer last season, Carrick and Park are nearly always in the CL teams. I’m also pretty sure Giggs, when not shagging his sister in-law plays quite a few games too, I could go on.

It was their second team. If it's their third or fourth, I'd like ACKJ to name what their second/third team is.

I'd also point out that that team could have beaten any Championship team and that Giggs' shot was not poor, as much of an amoral **** as the man is.

3-0 isn't embarrassing. Moderately disappointing but nothing more.
