Last night's QPR v Brentford match turned into a bit of a hoot, with the home side scoring twice in injury time to make it 2-2. Undoubtedly helps us for Saturday, since Brentford instead of coming away on a high will be quite deflated. The laughable element though was Ollie's rant after the game, head bobbing and giving the QPR fan's stick for leaving early. However, the other 'game in hand' being played tonight - Derby v Ipswich - is absolutely crucial to our season. If Derby win they go 9 points clear of us, leaving Bristol City in 6th position 8 points ahead. At this stage that is one heck of a gap to make up. Let's hope McCarthy's boys, who are on the same points as us (26) do the business. Here's a link to the current table: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/derby-county/table
We can only ever look after our own results. We've taken 7 points from the last 9 and looking ahead we need to have a strong December to get back up there. Birmingham & Barnsley at home are both winnable, Sunderland & Brentford away are challenging. 7-9 points again and I think we won't be too far adrift of the playoffs. The problem is that I've not actually seen enough from us in recent games to predict us going on a strong run.
