I've only watched the two league games on Sky and TigersPlayer so far, but from what I've seen we are playing the best passing football I've seen us play for years. This team could be our best ever in 18-24 months time. I hope we keep hold of NP and he gets time to build this season and next. Admittedly we are still missing a Bullardesque player (but obviously JB), but once we shift the deadwood we can bring in another key player or two. I can't wait to see all of those ex-Utd players playing together! Brady and Stewart in the same team coudl be mouthwatering, causing panic in defences and creating chances for Fryatt to mop up! I'm always optimistic that we'll go up, but maybe one more year of building wouldn't be so bad. UTT
on what i've seen so far i totally agree, it is only 2 games in but the team seem to have blended well. Brady & Stewart is a mouthwatering prospect but we need to tie Brady down to a season-long loan if we want to see it for more than 2 months given Stewart's not expected back until October. I'd love to see Brady signed on a permanent but unless we give Man Utd the option of a cheap buy-back, i just can't see it. The future's looking very bright under NP, even if Percival doesn't think so!
This is what I've been saying. We're playing superb possession football and we're creating chances in abundance. However everybody keeps getting negative because we're not winning every week. I reckon that if we can manage to get Bullard off the books and Brady in on a permanent we will have a very successful season. Up the tigers!
