I think i may have stumbled across our first signing whilst doing some accidental detective work. James Walker. He's an experienced keeper and is no longer contracted with Walsall but isn't on the pfa transfer list. I think this could be our first signing! Not a bad one either! What do you think? JUST TO CLEAR THINGS UP, HE IS ACTUALLY A 37 YEAR OLD KEEPER, THE PEOPLE MAKING HIS PROFILE WROTE THE WRONG BIT IN HIS DESCRIPTION. Hi Rocky, Just to prove how Grumpy I am:- James Walker (striker) is 23 and played 5 games for us in 2010, the first match a 4 - 0 thrashing by Brentford. James Walker (goalkeeper) is 37 and has never played (yet) for Gillingham. hope this clears up any confusion.
Possibly but he does fit the bill, we are meant to have signed some experienced mystery keeper and if we've signed him he wouldnt be on the free transfer list which he isn't and every other player in that squad has played for us before.. plus i'm getting bored of nothing happening so i thought i'd spice things up although now i think about it didn't we have a james walker from southend last season or the season before who was a centre forward? :/
It just isn't a very well maintained list. Lots of players left years ago, and positions & squad numbers are wrong. And as far as I've heard, we're not meant to have signed anyone yet?
thats right we did have a james walker cant remember if it was only loan or free agent, almost as good as mccammon if i remember rightly
In my defence this james walker is under the goalkeeper section of our squad and it is the profile of james walker the 37 year old keeper that was at walsall last year but is no longer there and i think it was gills connect have said we have signed a mystery experienced keeper. btw given the stick hess and scally seem to be getting atm over signings if we had signed a decent goalkeeper do you not think it would have been mentioned by now

Lmao he chose Aldershot over us! Now that is depressing. Although on there board it says he signed for them as a number 2 before this mystery speculation even started? And at 21 i'd hardly consider him an experienced keeper that was mentioned we had signed? If he's Aldershots number 2 maybe we shouldn't be to down that we missed out on him either, can't be worst then lance cronin though to be fair..
