    The screen will be bigger, it is just the bracket... but the stadium really doesn't accommodate it well. 90% of fans won't be able to see the screen if that's where it's being positioned. If they tilt the screen out, it'll obstruct views for away fans, and will still have the problem of making it invisible to 70% of the crowd. When the rules dictated that we had to have a big screen to host the game, was there a rule about people being able to see it? Seems not...

    Going off on a tanned gent, can you not extend the Gallowgate end to match hte other big stands? I know the other side can't becasue of the houses. Not that there is the need or want for it currently...

    I think there is an issue with the Strawberry Road and it still impacting on the houses at the edge (very close to the stadium).

    We are so far from needing it at present <laugh> Yeah we all still troop down and have high numbers but attracting more would need a better product. I'm not sure Mike likes selling top end product.

    Fine as it is anyway, its only you mackems who dislike it. Which is only natural.

    The biggest problem is with St James metro station, The station would need to be redesigned, with much stronger foundations in place if it also had to hold the weight of the gallowgate stand. The road could be moved across easy enough I think.

    There were plans weren't there to incoporate the station and some hotel/casino complex. Then they realised they were in Newcastle.
