I think Mick has the answer, if MR can do a new pic with SUNDERLAND a little smaller so it takes less of the screen and with the water effect at each end then would that mean we all see the name but more or less of the water.
well if you dont mind not seeing the badge and the gates then i suppose it would work (you will still be missing a lot of the logo though)

what is underlan??????????????????? am i missing something has the council gone mad and shortened the cities name to save paper hence the planet, well done underlan city hall, will the postcodes stay the same?
It's all style sheeted properly and in div tags, old style html table design will be poor and the image will look distorted when resized by a browser. Apart from that it's a background image which is purely defined in a dynamic style sheet, not html. If you look at the likes of the Arsenal, Celtic and even Newcastle board we've more or less managed to make the background look good on any screen size.
I see Rangers still have the grass Mick, thought they would have some picture of a derilict waste ground.
Lucas M, the grass took me back to our childhood games........ would have been better if there was some dog **** on there though. Great for the sliding tackles I recall!
