    or is it?

    https://chicagoaddick.wordpress.com/2015/12/17/empty-seats-sabotages-target-20000/

Is staying away from the Valley our most powerful weapon or does Mr Douche just not care? He must have some sort of business plan but that does not seem to include increasing supporter numbers or the target of reaching the Prem League.

Target 20,000 seems to be a PR stunt as the appointment of a totally incompetent CEO and this obsession with foreign head coaches who are totally out of their depth seems to suggest that he is not interested in first team success but has alternative objectives in mind.

Is he planning for Charlton to become a feeder club of young players for other clubs who have more ambition than Mr Douche? He is certainly making big improvements to the training ground! Perhaps his plan is to use his fabled European scouting network to find undervalued players in europe and sell them on for a big profit ... the problem is he buys overvalued players like Sarr who is never going to realise a profit.

Or is he planning to build up the infrastructure around the Club so he can sell the whole package in the future? (I can't see this as a sensible plan) ...

Anyway, I said that the Douche was a worry as our new owner from day one and he has done nothing to change my mind since (with the exception of training ground investment) but would we be better off without him? Probably not (... look at Bolton) .. but would we be better off without Bubbles and Carol? .... Yes we would!

    <cheers>

Going to be honest with you, thought you were asking for help on"Cards Against Humanity." I was about to suggest playing the Jimmy Saville card!
If you've never played the game do so...

On more serious matters now, I read the article, thought that it was good. Makes some valid points, but ultimately it's just people are so frustrated and unable to identify with the club anymore that they're just finding other activities to do.

There would have been times where I'd be annoyed if I had to miss a match. This season I've missed four, which was up from one the previous. Reckon, with all my plans, things I want to achieve in 2016, my total number of games missed will be closer to eight.

Guess you can say that it is a form of apathetic protest. Apart from JJ, Hendo and a few others I don't think these players care about the fans or the club at all

I can't see Roland ever telling us what His Plan is. When Ponders told our CEO his reasons for not going any more she wrote back that he would be back once "The Plan" kicked in, so in theory there must be a plan. Unless of course our CEO just made that last bit up- she wouldn't, would she? If the club is truly interested in building up attendances they would want to listen to those fans who have stopped going, and learn something, instead of lecturing them with silly platitudes. It's not as though there is an organised boycott, we have no idea how many will, like AHLL, come back if there is a new set-up and the club is run properly, and how many got fed up with the dire football and will drift off to watch Wham or one of the Kent teams, possibly never to return.
A change of CEO would help, but this seems unlikely. As far as we know 'Mare is doing what Roland tells her as well as anyone else would, which is why she's there. Now that she's gone from one extreme of saying lots of silly things to the other extreme of saying nothing at all about anything, the end result is the same- we're in the dark about everything.

The only thing that Duchatelet & Meire want from us is our money.

In the last two years there has been no attempt to build relationships or understand deep rooted concerns.

Given that our Nervous Nigel fan base seems unwilling to protest, the next best option is a boycott.

Given that we've already given them our cash in advance for this season all we can boycott is products like drinks and programs. It's only when season tickets go on sale for next season that they'll find that we won't get fooled again. The figures for the sale of half-season tickets would be interesting.

I hope fans aren't fooled, but I fear a £150 season ticket in the north would see people reconsider..

They will not be getting any more money from me, until Meire and RD are gone.

I've heard that they've been calling people as a "friendly" reminder that half-season tickets are on sale. I reckon that they'll on get a 2% take up rate.

I cant imagine the gate receipt received for anywhere between 5,000 to 15,000 is going to occupy Rolands mind, it is clear he has other motivations.

I want to know them, like we all do.
