Quite happy just having a tiger and nothing else. Of course our chairman has put 1904 on because he has stated we have been Hull City Tigers since 1904. He claimed he thought that was the name when he bought us. It is his response to the chants about being Hull City since 1904. Which we have been. But we weren't given our nickname until a year or two later. Of course you won't agree but such is life.
I really like the three crowns one, but we only actually had it for one season. The scraggy tiger was late 40's to late 50's (twelve seasons). The HCAFC was only used for four seasons in the 70's. Hincliffe's lads abomination was fortunately only used for two seasons. The image marked 1982 (with and without text) is actually the one we've used most and it's the same tiger as the one being referred to as 'the normal one', so we've actually used a version of this badge for almost 30 years.
All my shirts have had a decent looking tiger on it, I wouldn't have had that 98 thing, admittedly I bought my first in 91 & probably not another one until early 2000's, but my Mrs buys me it every year now!
Good to have an open mind, Happy. Not that you would know. Is it difficult to hear when your head is lodged between Allam's butt cheeks?
It isn't the sort of image that makes me happy. It is the image which comes to mind after reading your posts.
Yep, thanks. Of all the things that have happened I'm chilled about the current badge and I'm not fussed about losing the Tigers and keeping 1904. A small thing but losing a bit of eye white makes a good difference.
