Interesting to get the other sides view on things.

Personally I'm just hoping for damage limitation and some structured play.
I believe it is against this class of team we can glean enough to do some damage to the lower class teams.
It is from such games we learn how to ply our trade in this cauldron that is the PL.

I can only see a loss, in all honesty if the thought of us getting a draw creeps into my head I get embarrassed that I could believe such a thing.
But you never know do you.

At least we will get a better idea of MM's thinking after the West Ham game.

We did them at St Mary's last season. No reason you can't too.

We need to get a lot of things right if we are going to make any impression, but never say never.

Good to see the arrogance of their fans. Hope that reaches their team also.

Malky will get the guys up for this one. Got to get in their faces from the off. An opportunity for El Pitbull to make his mark - both literally and actually. <yikes>

I will always have a good word to say about Manchester City, after all they gave us Craig Bellamy for a season when it seemed impossible! Talking about Craig with respect, anyone get the impression time is catching up a bit too quickly? :emoticon-0103-cool:

Yes, he seems to have lost something from his initial burst of speed. Time catches up with all of us and when his game has always been about getting that yard ahead of his defender if that goes can he adapt as Giggs has done?

Bellamy doesn't possess the allround skills of Giggs. His blistering pace and quickness off the mark are his hallmarks along with some wicked shooting and aggression for the game.

Once his pace drops, I doubt he'll step up a gear in other departments. I hope we're wrong about this, but he did look a bit jaded last Saturday.

Knowing Craig as we do, he'll probably dumbfound us now with some stellar performances. <doh>

The injury to Kompany will be a big blow the Citeh. The captain is a rock in defence and his absence at the end of last season coincided with more goals than usual conceded. Pace upfront can exploit his absence.

Not being funny, but this could all come down to goal difference at the end of the season - we're only out of the bottom 3 on that right now......<laugh>

I agree, I really think it might come down to that, just in case we better start losing by less goals <laugh>

i'm very excited about this one. more the occasion than the pending scoreline. i've predicted 3-0 nil to the mancs but if we were to get anything then i think a lot will rely on us the fans come Sunday. We have to make some serious noise if we have any chance of getting anything. Unsettle their players especially the new ones and with kompany out who knows....................UP THE BLOOOOOOOOOOOBIRDS.

Trouble is if they get a goal early doors, that will silence our crowd, always has done.

I'm sure Medel will have a word with Pellegrini (who's also from Chile) about how the game plays out. I know where you live and all that :emoticon-0110-tongu

I think the citeh fans can feel confident of a win based on the gulf in class. We all acknowledge we shouldn't be anywhere near the likes of the top 4 teams and will certainly have our hands full with the teams in the next top 4 positions. But it's what happens on the day. So c'mon the bluebirds keep it down to a 2-0 loss.....

Hi Guys – City fan in peace here.

Just wanted to say hope you do well this season (except Sun of course!), I followed a few of your results last season as a mate of mine goes to the odd Cardiff game. You played good football last season and deserved to come up.

I was just wondering your thoughts on Bellamy now, he was ok for us but was always a bit quick to run his mouth off which irked a few people round the club – saying that he will still cause a lot of teams problems this season and he’s definitely better lining up with you than against you.

We’ve sold out our full allocation of tickets so should be a good atmosphere, I’ve never been to your new stadium so looking forward to it – any away fan pubs nearby?

Anyway all the best and here’s to a good game!
