It picks itself this week as they are the only fit defenders at the club...

    GK. Darlow (25 y/o)
    RB. Mbabu (20 y/o)
    CB. Mbemba (21y/o)
    CB. Lascelles (22 y/o)
    LB. Dummett (24 y/o)

Average age of just under 22.5 years old. Take Darlow (25 y/o) out and its just over 21! Mbabu and Dummy just back from injury as well and haven't played for months either.

I hope we have a plan to start finding the back of the net (maybe 5 at the back 6 up top?) because barring a miracle we will concede tomorrow and more than likely a lot! Saying that though, with some of the abject failures at the club I suspect this may actually be a strongest back 4 haha.

The club surely have to look at its recruiting and someone needs to be sacked!

Defenders and Goalkeepers are generally accepted to hit their peak later than midfielders and strikers - usually around 28-32.

What? We will have a defence this weekend? Well that's a good start - things are looking up.

Maybe having a defence with some hunger might actually work for us. At least they should work for each other. With Lascelles being vocal recently, hopefully he can shout some coherence into the "unit"

In answer to the OP I think the best defence we'll have this weekend is probably "ignorance".

To be honest, that is probably the defence I'd like to see regardless of injuries.

That would require a member of the footballing board to vote to sack...................errrrr...................... himself as a member of the footballing board. Turkeys and Christmas, etc, etc.

Rafa may well go with Anita at RB seeing as he's played there before. At least he's tidy with the ball, doesn't blindly run upfield and usually plays a simple ball.
Can anyone come up with why Colo is still out with a supposedly minor injury. I think he's chicken heartened.

Colo's heart hasn't been in it since around the time he was caught with his cock in some local lass and his wife went back to Argentina. He's wanted away for years but that didn't stop him holding the club to ransom over a contract extension last summer and raping even more money out of us. I used to love the guy but I pretty much can't stand the bloke these days. Whoever took the decision to give him a new deal wants a ****ing beating - it's the strongest evidence that those in charge have no idea in what they are doing.

I was proved right and Anita had a very good game and close to being man of the match. Montero hardly got a kick.

I hope for your sake they can keep up the performance levels next season at places like Burton Albion or Walsall, Bradford, Millwall or Gillingham.
