Be interesting to see if MH renews his interest in Henrique. He did want a loan with a view to permanent move if we stayed up. Now we have will he go for the permanent move which if memory serves me right may help with the work permit issue? It would be good to have some youth with one eye on the future.

I remember you asking, did you get an answer?

If we thought he was good enough (and he had a decent scoring record in youth championships) then I can't see why he wouldn't be good enough now. He also seemed very keen on the move.

He is on loan to Spanish second division team Granada, doesn't seem to be pulling up any trees. They signed him on a similar deal to one one we put forward €0.5m for a loan for 2 years, then option to buy for €6m. But we weren't allowed to do it by the FA. For some reason the Spanish could.

Cheers SB - I assume it's those rules that are meant to keep us competitive by using homegrown talent instead of lower grade foreigners but actually restrict us because we're not exposing the youngsters to a higher quality of player.

Bit fuzzy about this now, but wasn't it down to his lack of international representation? I seem to recall that he hadn't been selected for the under 21's, and that was the excuse.
