I've read Nasri's tweet concerning the chants of the fans and it's got me thinking whether the PL has a worse set of supporters than Arsenal fans. Firstly, I'm getting rather sick of the sanctimony of fans who believe all our players owe us something and must be vile human beings for even having the temerity to consider clubs who may offer more- both on the pitch and financially. Those who feel this way are probably the same people who enjoyed Campbell's display of treachery to move to us. It is Nasri's inalienable right to take any decisions he pleases on his future even if City's money is his motivation and we have no right to judge him from our high horse. If he ever considered staying, surely there's no turning back with the way the fans have treated him. He hasn't disrespected our club in any way with any actions or utterances and hasn't misled us in anyway with any vows of loyalty or kissing of the badge. Indeed, Rooney, Tevez and Modric have disrespected their clubs far more but they still have the support of the fans. We really do have the most appalling support in the PL with the way we turn on our players.
The 'fans' have exactly the same right as you do to express their views. You don't like it you shouldn't listen. Strange you had to hear about it on Twitter, i take it you weren't at the game to actually hear it. Nasri has dissed the fans with his behaviour and we won't miss him if he goes.
To think that despite Barton's treachery against a Newcastle hierachy that have stood by him in his darkest moments, the fans have stood by the thug who has rewarded the faith of his employers by public disparaging and betrayal. Meanwhile, our fans treat Nasri like some ungrateful, mutinous slave for having the audacity to even consider moving to a better club who have offered to double his wages. This for a player who as a real prodigy in Ligue 1, had his pick of clubs before settling with us. Like I said- appalling support. And that doesn't even include the fact we're the first side in my living memory to boo our team in pre-season.
If there was the remotest chance of keeping Nasri, you lot certainly blew it on Saturday. Everyone at NUFC knew that Jose Enrique was going to leave us this summer. However, we never booed him when he put on that black and white top during pre-season. How exactly did those who did so think it was going to help your team win a difficult away match?
Register your disgust at a player leaving the club? Since when did football turn into some slave dealership? What right have you to question someone's personal career decision? Can you tell me what is so offensive about a player deciding to move clubs.

Some of us remember when Arsenal's players were triers and winners.
