There are three players still knocking around from the GJ era that in my opinion need to be dropped. However good they are as individuals, they are not working in the TEAM anymore. As disgruntled as some of you maybe about those three names, my opinion is that they need to go, so we can move on as a team. I still think that the behind the scenes stuff needs some serious looking at, and we need football people to run this football club, not businessman.

However, FONTAINE, ELLIOTT and SKUSE need a few weeks out in my view. I think we played some of our best stuff last season with Kilkenny and Cisse, Kilkenny has far more creativity than both Skuse and Elliott put together, but I feel like he struggles trying to do 50/50 defending attacking, defend sure, but like Lampard had Makelele all those years ago, you need that reliable team member behind you to have your back. I don't think Skuse or Elliott provide that and neither of them are adept at coming forward.

As for Fontaine, he has been on a downslide for years now, and I think we all agreed a few years ago when there was talk of Liverpool putting in a £1 million bid, that we would have snapped their arm off. He isn't strong enough to lead a back four, and isn't fast enough to keep up. I know we are low on resources when it comes to defenders, but we need experience back there but young enough to keep up. I personally though that was the FIRST area we needed to address in the summer, we were not in need of two new strikers. We needed a more reliable and stable central defence something we have lacked following our play off final season.

I still desperately want DM to sort this out and be the right man, as I think if he goes elsewhere, we will see him do great things for someone else. But I genuinely can't see where the next win will come from.

Bit harsh on Elliott as he's comong back from injury
Skuse is a good squad player
Both Elliott and Skuse are ball winning midfield players - they need someone creative to play with them
Fontaine - I guees the question for me would be is he the same player since that ankle injury (remember Southampton pulled out of a transfer)

Elliot lost his edge a long time ago. He was player of the season when he moved here from Millwall, but that was years ago.
