Bit of a classic game in the NRL grand final - I really thought Brisbane had it in the bag after coming back from 8-0 down to lead 24-8 with 20 minutes to go. Excellent come back from Penrith though to win 26-24 - fair play to them, but revenge will be sweet next season...
Michael Vaughan must be wishing he'd kept his mouth shut. ODI World Cup opening match result: England 282/9 New Zealand 283/1
Yes our run rate will have taken a battering big time . Sounds like we were pretty hopeless all round !
South Africa with the biggest score in World Cup history . Markram with the quickest ever 100 in the tournament too. ICC will probably hope for some more competitive games as the tournament goes on .
Aussies been on the end of a couple of rough "VAR" decisions in the cricket. That is a shame isn't it..? Still gives them an excuse I guess.
Nothing to do with umpire decisions in my opinion - just too many players in poor form at the same time. And too many S. Africans striking form at the right time. Even with 7 matches still left to play, I think they've blown their chances of a semi-final spot. Could be career ending for the likes of Warner and Maxwell.
Wales on their way home having lost to Argentina. The score makes it look as though they were well beaten, but until the last five minutes it could have gone either way.
Great comeback by Argentina. Disappointing day for the home nations . Ireland beaten by the All Blacks in a cracking match . Can never write New Zealand off .
London Broncos back in the Super League thanks to an amazing run in the finals series. After finishing 5th in the Championship regular season, they beat the 4th, 2nd and 1st placed teams - all away from home.
A bit of a collapse by Pakistan - much to the apparent delight of the Indians in the crowd - sees Australia up to fourth in the table. David Warner must have been stung by my words after the South Africa game, 163 out of an opening partnership of 259 - not a bad knock.
In someways the Aussies might have been disappointed to only get 367 after that blistering start but didn't matter in the end. Big game for England tomorrow - have to win. Bit like Watford!
All Blacks will be nice and fresh for next week. Walk in the park v Argentina - particularly 2nd half .
Even when they were a man down they managed to score! Awesome performance really - and strange to think that it could have been better - some sloppy ball handling and gave away some silly penalties. Whoever they meet in the final - more than likely South Africa - will undoubtedly have their work cut out.
One hell of a partnership between Klaasen & Jansen - pasting the England bowlers all over the place. Target of 400 for England - may be a tad challenging.
