    Eight weight world champion Manny Pacquiao today climbed into the ring looking to win his eleventh world title and in the process, become the only man in history to win the welterweight title for the fourth time. His opponent was the WBA Champion Lucas Matthysse.

    Day 7 of the Nagoya basho. The heavyweights are falling by the side of the road due to injuries.

    Alpe d'Huez today on the Tour... Got to be one of 'The' most iconic climbs in all of the Tours grand history... Shame I'm at work but i'll be watching the highlights later on today seeing the pain etched on the cyclist faces as they try and negotiate the Col de Madeleine, 25km @ 6% followed by Col de la Croix de Fer, a mere 29k @ 5% gradient before scaling the Alpe d'Huez at a mere 14k in distance but @ 8% average climb...!!

    Then theres the insane fans that just get altitude sickness and start chasing and cheering the riders up the tortuous route, which would pee me off, and im sure pee's the riders off as well...!! Get a vino or three down their necks in the midday sun, some 2,000m above sea level and all hell breaks out...

    LOVE IT...!!! :emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl:

    Did them in May. Not at that pace or same day! Croix du fer tougher than alp D, that is relatively easy, being only 8 miles of switch backs! The croix is double that and steeper

    Three days to go and Mitakeumi has a two win lead. He's never won an Emperor's Cup tournament so the pressure is on for the Sekiwaki ranked fighter.

    I can't find an English commentary. Beatrice Chepkoech takes an amazing 8 seconds off the 3000m steeplechase record. She also posts a 15 second personal best.

    The same meet saw a sensational women's 400. For the fist time in 9 years, someone ran into the 48s.
