I thought I'd take this opportunity to have another one of my bonding sessions amongst the Not606 faithful. As the title suggests...away from football...what other hobbies and pastimes are of interest to you guys. I'm a bit of a dab hand at cooking and enjoy watching the various stuff on tv in order to usually criticise the small portions and high prices in snobby bastard restaurants. Also enjoy reading...biographies,the odd crime thriller as well as a good fantasy tale. Sitting on a couch with various company and having a good chat about the world whilst having a bottle and a zoot with a good movie in background is always therapeutic as well. No doubt many have children and are focused around that...so if that's what you enjoy...not my fault lol. Take it away...a bit of thank **** it's Friday banter
The problem is Spurlock, revealing too much. One of the advantages of this kind of internet talking is that you are accepted by what you write, in this case about Spurs. In the real world you are judged by your appearance, where you live, your woman, the car you drive, the way you dress, speak, the work you do and so on. Here none of that matters only your opinion. If I was to list all of my interests, and there are many, it would get in the way of the people's reactions to you on here. I will keep shtum, except to say that I live in a remote village and do not have a television, the rest I will leave to your imaginations.
I agree with Spurf but at least one of the following is true about me: I am a porn actor. I am good at ski-ing. I was a professional wrestler. I sing in an chamber choir. I've appeared on television on three occasions.
Didn't want to know about wether your women have got fake tits or not (mine has)...thought we could educate each other on a few other interests. I got the idea from where one of the other threads became a little education on prestige Jaguars. As for not having a tv... I have but I got no tv licence so we are similar in that sense
History of the second world war. Now wait for this and believe me because it's true....................................... I'm on the Register of Artist's Models, that's right, stark bollock.
Ok, retired about 6 years ago, moved to Spain as I didn't fancy spending my dotage freezing my gonads off in the UK. To keep busy, I 'm in the gym 4-5 days a week. I like a bit of gardening, although it's a bit different over here in that everything in the garden is trying to kill you. Read or watch TV when it's too cold - swim when it's warm.
Snooker. And a load of other boring stuff. Hmmm, yes, i know snooker is probably boring to most. ****. I'm boring and like boring stuff. WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?
Reading,Tom Clancy book's and Jack Reacher novels,and traveling,and listening to music,i love Motown,and soul
I take an interest in the Pyramids and Egyptology,I'd love to know what's inside the three secret chambers in Cheops. Astronomy and wildlife also.
See it's good to know that we are all a set of boring bastards But really I think some interests mentioned above are great and say a lot about ones thinking...something we all share on this board.
I enjoy exercising 4-5 days a week. My mates and I also have a poker league which has been running for 3 years and play every week. I have also recently got my old band back together and we're currently learning covers to play in pubs. (As well as writing our own stuff). I'm also planning on joining a 5-a-side team this year and getting back into actually playing football, rather than talking about it. So, in a nutshell I'm just a typical bloke. Oh, and the PS3/Xbox! LAD, I think the expression is?!
My other passion is cricket, going to Lords is like going to the Lane, always a pleasure. Other than that usual boring stuff like TV and reading!
Last year I played quite a bit of football, not well granted, but I was more there for the post-match pint or seven Since my heart attack, I've become a bit of a recluse, instead of playing, I only stand on the sideline throwing abuse at players, then going for a post-match orange juice Read a little crime, Ian Rankin especially, and I'm studying history in University. Then watching the local football team lose, and listening to Jazz Soul or Blues, but open to just about any music
Fishing (fair weather only), play cricket and snooker competitively, watching sports on TV and live, going down the pub, philandering etc lol.
Blimey, I knew you were missing for a bit, hope thats behind you now, and you enjoy best of health in the future.
