Hi all. I have heard from somewhere that its possible to download/record audio from youtube videos. Now, I am a huge fan of late 80s early 90s rave and alot of tracks from that era are not available on itunes,Spotify,Napster etc. BUT are available on youtube. I would love to be able to download these tracks in an audio file and then transfer to itunes. Anyone know how to do this ? Thanks.
listentoyoutube dot com That will rip the audio and convert to mp3 for you. Quality isn't always great but it's as good as you're gonna get and it's free.
The quality is quite simply horrendous. It's quite illeagle, but since when did that ever bother anyone on the internet.
I used to have a free program on my old pc which saved YouTube vids as mp3. Can't remember it's name but just Google it and you'll find it. I did hear on the grapevine that YouTube were somehow preventing this now but dont know for definite.
If you use Google Chrome there are addons to download videos and MP3s. If you just want something simple and pretty good quality, don't forget the quality will depend on the actual upload. If the upload was crap the download will be. Just checked to see if this is still working and it is. http://www.youtube-mp3.org/ Just copy the YouTube URL from the top of your browser and paste it into the box. Click convert and download the conversion. Jobs a guddun. Here's a short one to try on it.
Cheers for that, but I've just found a free app on my iphone called Music Tube. Its fantastic. Happy days.
