Hi lads, I'm writing up a little piece on opposition fans views of us given all the changes around the club and I'm in need of the views of Cardiff fans. Im not going to post all comments, just the two best/most representative of the majority view for each each question so I'd appreciate the help if you could answer any of the following questions: 1) What do you make of Roberto Martinez? will he be a success at Everton? 2) What do you make of our transfer business this summer with the additions of Kone, Joel Robles, Alcaraz and Deulofeu joining the squad? 3) Where do you think Everton will finish? why? 4) Which current Everton players would you take in your XI? 5) Was Roberto Martinez the best choice for Everton FC? if not, who was? Try not let his Swansea links skew your judgement!
1 Very Good Manager and Yes - deserves virtuall all the credit for Swansea 2 Only know about Kone and dont rate him at all 3 7th - there is now an established top 5 then Liverpool and Everton. I think Liverpool are now better than you. 4 . Most of them probably though not your keeper. 5 . Yes of those available. Everton - the way I see it the top players want to go to London or a club paying massive wages. I dont see Everton being one of the top clubs anymore. You need a new stadium and probably a backer with massive or you will just be another team outside the big clubs making up the numbers. Thats the way the game has become - all about money.
1. Yes, I think Martinez is a brilliant manager. 2. I think Kone is a decent player and will do well, but they look like typical Everton signings. No massive names just decent players who will put a shift in. 3. 8th-10th. Martinez is good but I think it will take a couple of seasons for him to create his own squad. Maybe aim for the top 6 or so again after that. 4. As Hilts said quite a lot of your players, but if I had to pick out a few names they'd be Coleman, Osman, Baines and Fellaini 5. Yes
1 - very good manager but obviously not a miracle worker. He will be a success but may need a season or two to get the players used to his style. He'll obviously suit Kenwright as he can do a lot with little money. Similar to Moyes in that regard. (It'll be interesting to see how Moyes does in the transfer market now he has a bit of cash). 2 - not been watching. 3 - lower than last year as in the second sentence in answer 1. You may have to move back before you move forward. 4 - quite a few, but certainly Baines (we need a left back) and Fellaini 5 - yes in the long term
