Enjoy, no spoilers here - this evening I'm looking forward to the series premiere of "True Detective".

Interesting with "The Bridge" that there is a US version (apparently opens on a bridge between US/Mexico), and also the French "The Tunnel", which I believe is a similar storyline.

Certainly the tunnel was a spin off from the original danish/swedish series.....i didn't see it as it was on sky and i don't subscribe....enough rubbish on terrestrial tv let alone paying for extra!!! Wubs watched it but i don't think you can beat the original.

The Tunnel was spoilt for me as a pale imitation of the Bridge. The wife however having never seen the Bridge thought the Tunnel was excellent

I must confess Kilburn kippered me up with that website link. I watched the whole second series in one go. Excellent but nothing to do on Saturday nights now! I had to watch it again.

I must say that none of the BBC4 Scandi-dramas are a patch on Montalbano, even the epic Borgen cant compete with that

The BBC iPlayer version is perhaps better quality though, but DailyMotion was not a bad site and safe, although the subtitles are auto generated. I had a couple of rather late nights viewing the rest of Season 2, while my wife completed Season 1 and Season 2 in three days (she was still off work). I plan to catch up on Season 1, even though I now know the outcome.

Attached is a review of the US "The Bridge" version, comparing it to the Swedish/Danish version.

I'm moving on to "True Detective" later this evening.

Ah now Kilburn Borgen really is a series you should watch if you get a chance, 3 series in total but you need to start at series 1 otherwise the continuing thread through all 3 will make no sense....

And don't forget Wallander; not the Kenneth Branagh one but the original - that's pretty good too
