Today we have lost one of the greatest British actors...a sad day indeed . 'The Long Good Friday' still is the best British gangster film ever made and brought many a one liner to the school playground. 'Shut up you long streak of paralysed piss' ' The Mafia ? I've **** 'em' RIP Bob
Pool Attendant: They kept it all incognito. They're gonna collect the body in an ice cream van. Harold: There's a lot of dignity in that, isn't there? Going out like a raspberry ripple. brilliant film.
Very sad. You are right on 'The Long Good Friday'.....cracking film, London before all the redevelopment looks grim
A truly sad loss, as well as the Long Good Friday I also love Mona Lisa. Bob Hoskins and Michael Caine who could ask for more? R.I.P. Bob thanks for the memories
Top man - LGF of course, but great in Pennies from Heaven on TV and I loved him in small role as a heating engineer in Brazil - both funny and ultra threatening
The long good Friday is one of my favourite films. Bob Hoskins was a top man & top actor, too young to leave us, RIP Bob
Always one of my favourite actors. LGF was and is a classic, maybe the best gangsterfilms outside of Godfather. Anybody remember it was Pierce Brosnans and Helen Mirrens first steps to stardom? RIP Bob.
