But that's what you don't seem to get. The extra pixels in a camera or memory space or LED screen etc... may be more advanced technology but it's not necessarily what people seek. And more often than not, brands like Samsung focus so much on things like their screen res that they neglect other aspects. That's my feeling of Windows/ Android. The only phone that I've regretted not trying yet is the Htc one series which look really smart. But I've had HTCs before, thought they were nice at first until I started getting annoyed with the keyboard or with the way you delete apps and it crashed regularly and the list goes on. There was always some little detail that annoyed me and I couldn't help but think of how much simpler had made the process. It simply feels like Apple think more of the user experience than the rest, who mainly focus on trying to have the biggest, mostest, fastest things.
You do really makes some good points. The only thing I'll say is if I'm having a phone for two years I want be able customize it and make different.
] Thing is I'm still using my Iphone 4 and it's still working fine. How much money have you spent going through different Windows/android phones in the same time span? Every 3 months they outdate your device and make you spend more money or make you annoyed that you didn't wait longer.
That I agree with, there's definitely some annoying aspects about Apple , some weird marketing decisions also. I'm quite annoyed that the brand is now so popular it's almost uncool.
had the s4 since release and it's running like clockwork, what problems would i experience? just like windows is fantastic, only time i reinstall windows is when i add new parts like an SSD, and it takes about 20 minutes
I use an iPhone and a HTC desire (one is just for business and the other is for both business and personal. Both have their merits and I would find it hard to choose between the two. But the iPad is great, far better than the andriod tablet and faster.
It seems Apple are reliant on there brand kudos to sell products. Android you can really make the phone 'yours'. You can go look 10 people's Android phones and they'll have it customized in different ways. If people want something beautiful to look at and does what says on the tin then Apple is probably best for them.
I first got into Apple when I bought a iPod Classic but I used it with a Sony laptop PC and Sony own music program kept dumping iTunes so I looked into getting an iMac I was a bit put off by the price but got one anyway. What still amazes me after 5 years it still only takes less than a minute to fire up from switch off, it syncs with every Apple product I own, it accepts all Apple OSX updates, never needs security updates and ids really easy to use. I used to be able to make my tea waiting for my laptop to load it self up due to the virus checking software needed on PC's, that's the main reason I stick with Apple, it works every time, quick, easy and simple, I agree that some phones might be better equipped that's not the point to me, Apple has a quality that I like. Why do people buy Rolex watches when a timex still tells the time, Why buy a BMW when a Skoda gets you to the same place. Apple haters are strange, it really does smack of jealousy, do they dress like tramps because nice clothes are are too expensive? If you don't like Apple, fine, don't go on about it like a deranged Scotchland person voting yes
Not usually a fan of Ricky Gervais but enjoyed his Tweet last night where he had strapped his phone to his arm and said just saved 350 quid
It isn't that clever. My Linux laptop does the same and the OS is free. Why buy a BMW when the Audi shop is giving cars away for free around the corner? As I said earlier. Amazing marketing; Average product.
I'm not a label junkie at all My current phone was made in China by a Chinese company (oh hang on so are all the other brands including Apple) My current phone runs Android, has 1Gb RAM, 64Mb ROM fully upgradable with up to 128Gb Micro SDXC card & has an 8 core 1.2Ghz processor, it's also dual sim (with both always active) and a 5" 1080p HD screen & has a 12Mp Camera with a 2Mp rear facing camera) & removable battery In the 9 months I have owned it so far it has never crashed once, boots from standby in under 6 seconds How much did I pay for this technological miracle which blows every iPhone out of the water in every way except the badge ? £500 - No, £400 - Not close £300 - still cold £200 - getting warmer ....I actually paid £120 brand new inc customs duty Like I said never come close to missing a beat
I had three back to back HTC phones before moving to the 5S. I just moved for a change having bought an ipad just before the phone purchase. I will keep buying iPads but will move my phone back to Android.
