Armilar Ruby Port from Lidl â¬7.49 a bottle, probably stg£6 a bottle in UK.....really nice quaffing drink serve slightly chilled.....
Berliner Kindl Weisse Bier. I haven't costed it, but it's cheap and tasty in Berlin. The label features a baby peeking out of a stein jug. Odd. I tried a port chaser with a weissebier last Saturday night. Doesn't work. Schnapps does, but that way ruin lies.......

I just drink it straight from the bottle, with the ice thrown in. Sorry, I'm off to the cloakroom now I promise..
I like a good Port too - at a young age my Dad taught me to always pass the decanter to my left. I'm not accustomed to drinking Port chilled, although I see it is suggested for a trendy Rose Port available here.
Good ole Mother's Ruin, that's a nice drink - my Dad always claimed that Holland Gin was good for a sore back!
I have a supply of this beer which is rather good - 6.8%, so you have to watch your intake, but unfortunately it appears that our government run liquor corporation is dumping it - only a few bottles left in our province, at a much reduced price. please log in to view this image Well rated too at this site:- BA SCORE 88/100 very good 971 Ratings THE BROS 95/100 world-class http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/196/620/ Quite a neat database they have, displaying the current inventory for any product. I had better run out and grab the one remaining bottle available in my hometown! http://www.nbliquor.com/Home/ProductDetails/676015 Affligem Blond Abbey UPC #5411098100049 Beer-Imported Retail Price: $2.13 In Warehouse: 0 Classic Belgian Abbey Beer style known as the Burgundoes of Belgium . In support of tonights foorball, I'm having a bottle of Old Jock Ale.... View attachment 34176 Few of these will give you a bit of a sore head in the morning though!
Why are they ditching it Kilburn, because of the alcohol content? If so, we're not the only one with a nanny state then. Stella here has gone from it's original 5.4% when it was brewed in Belgium, to 5.0% and now at it's current 4.8%, which bears no resemblance to the original brew.
My Father-in-law was from Glasgow, so used to visit Scotland frequently when he was alive. He had a holiday home at Gourock. Really partial to Belhaven when I was up there
