    Anybody playing it?

Just managed to get North Ferriby promoted to the Skrill Premier in my first season, but our ground needs improving. So we've been moved to the Boulevard.

Also, getting players is an absolute nightmare.

Playing it with City and loving it, took a while to find the right formation, but the standard back 4 (with fullbacks set to wingbacks) 1 DM, 2 CMs, 2 wingers and 1 striker is working a lot better than 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1 or my favourite from 2013 3-3-2-2. Hard getting good players with little money, and the addition of agents owning parts of players is a reall f**ker when trying to get south american lads in....hardest thing first season is shipping players out, no takers for any dead wood even on frees

our players seem massively underrated, but after a bit of persuasion Mr allam gave me another 200k a week to spend on wages?!?! Thought it was a glitch. Have also got our level 2 academy sorted ;)

Im playing as Lincoln and echo all this. It's an effin' nightmare both buying and shifting players on - I cant seem to find anyone better than the ****e Ive already got. I also really struggle to hold on to leads, I get 2 or even 3 in front and then blow it despite trying all manner of things. Any tips?

I've noticed that, I never seem to have a midfield either, despite setting my tactics to close players down and hassle opponents. Players just seem to run through my midfield. I won games like 5-4 and 6-3. Mental. Nathan Jarman is a total beast, 47 goals last season, 5 in 5 in the Conference.

Yeah Jarman is ace on mine, I scoouted him but Ive already got loads of decent strikers. And my midfield is set up exactly the same and the same happens. Maybe it is better to stand-off rather than close down then?

    Got bored of FM

For instance when Altidore was at city he scored me 27 goals in his first season which helped me comfortably stay a float

Got cheap acquisitions such as sakho from psg ramires from benfica and finished in Europe in my third season

Even in the lower leagues I always had a forward rhat would score 20+ goals a season but thrn there'd always be a few games where youd just get hammered

I did a season with Ferriby and got them promoted. Jarman was injured for half of the season, Kendall managed to get28 goals for me though. Just started a new save with Southampton, sold Schneiderlin and signed a few, currently 5th in January and in the semis of the league cup. Just a note, setting to hassle opponents when you are ahead can make your players chase a bit too much and pull them out of position.

FM is a lot harder than it used to be, I assume you played 08/09? Last years was a massive step up in difficulty and this years has followed on, City are dead bottom on my Southampton save.

Yeah City came down on mine, they sacked Brucey as well. Replaced him with Fergie Jnr, who promptly sold Meyler, Chester, Boyd, McGregor, Huddlestone and Aluko and brought in Emmerson Boyce (<laugh>), some 34 year old Korean striker and, randomly, Steven Defour.

This year's is definitely harder, but it's the best one yet. Les Hare wouldn't find me a parent club to loan players from, so I went public with what he said, causing a media outrage. Love it.

Just played Aldershot away, was 3-0 up at half time and lost 7-3. Unbelieveable.

On my Ferriby save, City survived and was much similar to our first season in the prem. They were second in November! Les Hare wouldn't find me a parent club either, but I didn't want to rock the boat so I kept quiet! I'm interested to see some of the regens I get at Southampton, they always get a star or two.

I was the other way around, losing 3-1 at half time, was aggressive with them and won 7-3!

I had one on last year's and he was destined to be City's first ever England international. Until he chose to play for Laos. Damn you Danny Vilaysouk!

Im playing as city, finished 13 th first season only signing Chris solly and Boyce, and getting a few out on loan like Bruce and Fryatt. Starting my second season and struggling to move players on like most have said

Took me a while to find a system but in the end a 442 sorted me out for the season

Sat in 4th with City coming towards the end of the first season. Not really sure why as on paper there are plenty of better teams

Only brought in two initially - both on loan from Benfica and then brought in a RB from somewhere in Brazil. Playing 41311 formation with left and right midfielders.

Man U are storming it and both Palace and Cardiff are adrift at the bottom.

For City Huddlestone has scored 12 and assisted 8 playing either MC or DMC. Have him set for late runs into the box and shoot from anywhere. He takes all set pieces too. At the end of the season I will be looking for upgrades to Elmo, Dudgeon, Quinn, Fig, Harper and a new striker.

Played FM since CM2 and certainly get my monies worth!
