How has England not managed to bowl out the Aussies for under 200 runs? with the number 11 batsman scoring 80 runs so far!!!

It's unbelievable, we're sat here watching it on the PC at work and none of us can quite believe it. The England team of ten years ago maybe, but the current lot should have finished this off by now.

I bet Boycs is going ballistic on TMS!

Have to say that this last wicket stand has really taken the shine from my morning. Poor bowling (notably by Steve "Half-track" Finn) but fair play to the no.11 for batting so well.

    You couldn't make this up
debutant who was playing for Henley cricket club recently edges to a century at no.11 - almost as good as grant holt tyre-fitter to premier league footballer!

I had not checked the cricket score since wicket 9 went so was astounded when I finally thought I wonder how England getting on in bat, how wrong I was <grr>

But all credit to their number 11 batsmans - opening batsman next innings.

    96 now, that's an all-time best for a number 11 in a test match

Got him! Finally! Almost wanted him to get the century, 98 is cruel. Batted far too well for a number 11 though!

Need to go carefully now, plenty of time to build a score

Weather and pitch now look good for a slow score build, and I was hoping he got 100 as a number 11 batsman myself lol

I heard he doesn't normally bat at number 11 but has been put there as he is a 19 year old in his first international test. Think he is normally No.6 but has batted at No.3

I coulda just made that up but pretty sure I heard it somewhere

All a bit depressing really. Could do with KP living up to his billing and Cook doing his thing and building a massive score over the next day or so.

I reckon we need to be looking at scoring 280-325 to give the bowlers any sort of chance and that looks a long way away.
