Guilty as charged your honour!! His story has more holes in it than the bird he shot, it'll never stand up in court. This'll be another OJ Simpson saga when it goes to trial, although I can't see how he'll get away with it.
My mate thinks he's innocent, I think he's guilty too much evidence against him, he doesn't have a leg to stand on.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-21516198 I have an idea that would stop him being a "flight risk" it's a bit crazy but might work.
The police seem to have gone in heavy handed and not followed correct procedures. That could be his saving grace...
Problem seems to be that there isn't any evidence that can't be explained away by the story he gave. I reckon he'll end up pleading down to manslaughter, accidental homicide or similar, and maybe serve a year or so.
I think his bit about how he nipped onto the balcony and came back in to hear someone in his en suite bathroom so shot the ****ers, without considering that it could possibly have been the person who a minute ago was in bed with him in the adjacent room, is just a tad flimsy. You're right though, it looks like one of those where a patently guilty man will get off.
You seem to have missed the pun at the end of my post. More importantly I can't add smilies for some reason.
Didn't someone hear them arguing? Doesn't that put a massive hole in his argument, looks pretty guilty to me you don't shoot someone 3/4 times on accident.
When I'm out and about robbing people I always check the bathroom, that's where all the valuable stuff is. That Imperial Leather stuff is ****ing expensive. I don't bother with safes or nicking very expensive TV's I just go straight to the bathroom.
It's flimsy as **** - the fact the toilet she was in is basically a cubicle with its own door makes it even more so. Of course the first thing a robber will do is lock themselves in a tiny room containing no valuables and take a piss. But regardless of the facts of the case I reckon any lawyer could sell the argument about the terrified little handicapped bloke without his legs on being convinced someone was hiding in his house and making a bad decision in the middle of the night. Apparently a neighbour who lives 300 metres away, so again the defence will pour cold water right over that one at a trial.
It could be true about them arguing, apparently she took exception to the fact that he had been out all night with his mates and had come home "legless" !!!! But on a serious note why would anyone in a long term loving relationship, feel the need to shut and lock the toilet door when having a crap ????
I think it's quite obvious he intentionally killed her, as his 'story' is somewhat far fetched, and difficult to believe. I do still think he could get away with actual murder though. This is a mans who's a national hero in South Africa, so the chances are some, if not all the jury were fans of his before this incident. Think of how highly regarded Olympic hero's are in this country, the likes of Bradley Wiggins or Jessica Ennis for example. Oscar Pistorius is the biggest sporting name in South Africa these days, so I wouldn't be suprised if some of the jury were gullible enough to buy his 'story'
I think he did it knowing it was her. I also however agree that he will get of with it. The whole thing stinks already of a 'supposedly' unintentional bad police job which will convieniently help him with his not guilty charge. The ****ing senior officer in charge is being investigated on 7 counts of murder. How is any case he assists with credible ? I blame Sir Tennis Ball.
The country is pretty devastated as can be expected. We hear such conflicting stories... Up until yesterday a lot of the "evidence" seemed to suggest that he's guilty of intentionally killing her, but then yesterday a lot of it seemed to indicate that it might well have been a tragic accident. I just hope the truth comes out. If he's guilty of intentionally killing her, he should spend the rest of his life in jail. If he really thought that it was an intruder, he should serve his sentence but he's going to be haunted by this for the rest of his life either way. I'm trying to keep an open mind until I hear more concrete evidence, but it's hard because you tend to believe the latest story regardless of the source.
That just reminds me of the OJ Simpson case, when the officer who discovered all the evidence was shown to be almost as racist as Suarez. The case is unravelling before it's even gone to trial
He's ****ed imo, & as guilty as sin! His brother & lawyer were already at his home when the emergency services arrived? errrrmm. So if you accept his story that he accidentally shot her 4 times through his bog door (lol) then what would anyones first reaction be when they realised the horrendous accident that'd just taken place? Call an ambulance possibly? No, he rang his brief.......................**** off you lying twat. I hope he spends the next 30 years getting dry humped.
