can anybody thats been to one, shed any light on what actually happens? i only really joined it to be able to get into the bar, and have never been to one of the nights, but really want to go to the brown/horton one.. was just wondering apart from the obvious of beer and they will be there, whats the format?
I used to go all of them in Sproatley. At ours, there'd be a quiz on Hull City, and a general football one. The winner would go into the draw to present player of the season (our team won almost all of them throughout the season!). The guest (usually a player) would then turn up, have a drink and then answer all of the questions, or if it was someone from a different area of the club explain what they do (like the ProZone guy did). They'd then stick around for a bit for a autographs and photos and a general chat. I used to really enjoy them, had some really good nights at those meetings!
cheers for that, reckon ill be there then , gona start clearing a space on the mantelpiece for mine and brownies photo, find a space for the family photos in a backroom somewhere
I've been to a few, it's often quite interestin to see what the players think and they usually speak very well.
