To be fair, Stevie Wonder could have seen the signs of that happening. We've known since he signed that we had the option of the 3rd year, and the club put up an article about how most of his goals were late goals that won us points. Plus, it was such a no brainer of a decision that if we hadn't taken up the option of keeping him and had let him go on a free in the summer most of us would be jumping over to TWF's view of the management.

That's funny because everyone on here thought it was a two year deal. There were also about a dozen threads about how the club should bust a gut to get him to sign for a third year .

Learn to quote properly.. you keep doing it backwards <doh>

Anyway, just because NP left doesn't mean OLM was 'spouting ****', he genuinely told the players that he had no intention of leaving, then ****ed off anyway. That sort of betrayal is exactly the type of thing that gave us the edge at the KC, you know, when we beat you 2-1?

But as I keep saying, you were the only source of this "story". Every Hull fan swallowed your bull and now think Nigel is a hypocrite. He's not. You're just a liar.

Does anyone actually hate him? I thought he was ace, he's now gone for completely understandable reasons and I dont care any more.

It's like a bird leaving you when everything she said made sense - Fair play, I'm already over you.

You really are one naive individual.

If you, or any other Leicester fan for that matter, honestly believe that Pearson knew nothing about your approach in all those TV interviews you're plain stupid.

He lied to the media and lied to the players.

He lies, it's what he does.

That thing where he said "Me and my Staff procured players for Hull City" should give you an indication of firstly how deluded he is, secondly what a liar he is and thirdly how easily Adam Pearson can wind him up.

I said we knew we had the option of a 3rd year, that means it's a 2 year deal to start with does it not?

There were several discussions about what the term "option" meant in terms of player contracts, including one comment from someone who claimed it meant if we wanted to we could offer him a new contract. What the **** they thought it meant if we signed a player on a deal without saying we had an option I don't know, but the only people who were saying we should do everything to get him to sign were the ones who didn't have an option in the club's favour. (Some of these may have started threads)

Admittedly there's broadly speaking 3 different kinds of option, club's choice, automatic based on performance (ie play 20 games in the final season and the contract is extended by a year), and player's choice based on performance (ie play 20 games and we have to offer a contract), but the latter is usually stated as in the player's favour when the deal is signed and they didn't do that with Koren, they said it was an option "for both parties" which I would say means a combination of one and three, ie we could choose to extend it if we chose to, and if a certain number of appearances were made Koren could force us to give him a 3rd year even if we didn't want to. You certainly wouldn't bother stating either of us had an option if it involved negotiation, and to be honest I'm not sure the second would be stated as an option rather than clause.
