Maybe he was after big wages that the club think is in excess of his talent.

" My feeling is that our fortunes next season will depend on at what point, if any, Jewell will get his marching orders. If it's early enough in the season then anything is possible, but if he's still with us come December then I fear we're looking at another mid-table at best finish. "

Well obviously the usual two are as negative as possible! Why be positive when you can be miserable !

Joking aside ( well partial joking, there is two annoyed guys there ! ) I think next season, yeah, we can have cautious optimism.

Like previously mentioned, for once we DON'T need a complete overhaul of the squad. Although there are weak areas, and its rather obvious we need strengthening, we have found a decent formation etc now. The defence is being offered much more cover from the midfield than the start of the season, which was one of the main issues. Even if we'd had Nesta / Terry in their primes at the start, we were bound to ship goals as the centre backs were so exposed and we have two very attacking fullbacks !

That said, Smith / Delaney aren't the answer for a season, and we require two new CB's in.

JET I think will have a much bigger impact for the course of the season too. He'll have had the proper pre-season, and he's come good. We HAVE to keep Martin too. Chopra / Scotland both score goals, and Joshy Carson needs to get his head down in the summer. We have some really good attacking players !

I like to stick by the manager, so I will give Jewell time and support. It's obvious he's here to stay for at least another five months if not longer, so lets get behind him. I much prefer him to Keane or Magilton anyway. I'd like to think he's learning from mistakes made this season. I'm up for SMART loans
( like Unsworth / Alan Mahon ) under Royle ( FANTASTIC MANAGER ), however adding tonnes doesn't help achieve anything. Certainly didn't help Norwich stay up when they went down to League 1.

I believe Jewell will be backed financially. We're FINALLY getting the wage bill under control too, not before time.

I could expand on this for the sake of it, but in short, I am looking forwards to next season. I think we'll do alright.... !
