    I agree 999s, I am not even sure that he is sure of his place in the team anymore

    ......Perhaps maybe he is going to be Club Captain...taking over from Clint...which would make much more sense...he is apparently much better as a player avocate and a link between players and management. I am going to assume that is what it means (fingers crossed)

    Noooooooo - bad call from the club if it is team and club captain, but with the signings of Bidwell and Lynch we have other players with strong voices on the pitch, to drag him along.

    Disappointed with this,he hasn't shown leadership qualities on the pitch in the past.Going forward I'd have much preferred Bidwell or Hall !

    If he is Club Captain and we now do have leaders on the pitch (Bidwell?) I have no problem with this.

    Evidences no leadership skills whatsoever.

    May as well bring Taarabt back and give him the armband.

    Can only surmise that it must be in his contract. Why else?

    I guess there's no point in starting the discussion about JFH's compentency again until the season actually starts but right now I can see no sign of the 'new broom' effect that was expected once he had full control of the squad. This is a highly conservative re-appointment.
