I'll never understand this 'you're a one man team' tosh. At the end of the day Ricky Lambert plays for Southampton football club and therefore is a part of our team and nobody elses. Hes just one cog in part of a fast moving promotion machine and we should be grateful that our 'one man' is playing for us and not that small club near Basingstoke.
And it's most famous for Huntley & Palmers biscuits. In fact, the Royals used to be called the Biscuit Men.
I would like to salute Alan Pardew for buying Rickie. It has become apparent to me of late that he has one of the best eyes for a striker out there. As well as that, he seems to be able to integrate them into a team quickly/immediately, and use them to build success fast. Ba might have been to some an obvious choice, as we all knew he was good, but still, he was the one who grabbed him in a crowded marketplace; but Cisse looks like another first class signing. I for one had never heard of him, and what a finish he has on him. And of course, we probably need to thank him for starting this current run of success, and buying Rickie for us.
One man team, you obviously dont pay much attention. Yes we are lucky to have Rickie, been fantastic, howwever when you glance at top goal scorer chart we also have lallana, and guly on there too, meaning the goals are shared around. And the work rate put in by the likes of frazer and fox supplying the ammo aswell......the list goes on. I bet Reading are getting upset with Rickie though which prob led to this very short sighted thread......
