We were happy until you scored two goals in last two mins and West Ham scored a goal in the last min ...
It probably doesn't help that Lambert is the best player outside the premiership, without sounding (too) arrogant I would say Lallana is also better than all the Reading players. I do hope it is us + you for autos this year, you deserve it so much more than hoofball utd.
Take away lamberts goals, and i think you'll find we'd still be in the top half the table on goals scored
And that wouldn't be bad playing with 10 men and all We would be in the top 6 if we played with 11. I'm sure Sharp or Lee or Barnard or ......... Pulis would score a couple here and there.
I think he is just frustrated at seeing Millwall 2-1 Southampton for so long... then Millwall 2-2 Southampton Lambert pen 85 pops up on the videprinter and then Millwall 2-3 Southampton Lambert pen 88 hattrick appears moments later! If it was Reading or West Ham instead of Saints I would be extremely pissed off.
As -Dan says, it's you're a one man team. If you going to insult a whole forum in one line, it pays to spell the insult correctly. Presumably, Reading are a no-man team then..? They don't have Rickie.
Reading are the definition of 'plastic club'. Half their 'fans' support another team, or at least did do until the Premier League days. Just ignore the other players in our team Basingstoke Royal - like Guly Do Prado - 11 goals in all competitions. Adam Lallana - 12 in all competitions. Jos Hooiveld (Centre-back!!!!) 5 goals. 14 clean sheets in 37 games - presumably all because of Lambert? Kelvin Davis' heroics Vs Leeds the other week because of Rickie Lambert, obviously.....
We may not be the best team in the division, but we're definitely in the top one. Oh yeah, and last time I looked Rickie was one of our players. Eat your heart out, Reading (ps where the f is Reading?)
Rickie is our striker, his job is to score the goals. The fact he's on the scoresheet all the time means our team is working properly. Nothing lop-sided about that - means all is in perfect harmony and balance. When you have strikers who can't score, you find yourselves mid-table or below; when your striker is doing his job, you happen to find yourself top. Simple.
On another note, has anyone else noticed that the players who are cropping up to keep Reading (Jason Roberts, Gorkks to an extent) and West Ham (Danny Collins today) in the running are players we were linked with? Shows we not only have got good transfer nous, but by forcing those players to go to their second choice clubs, we are helping the neutral enjoy the Championship run-in that little more.
I would just like to point out that Reading's burst of form has come since the signing of Jason Roberts... ONE MAN TEAM FFS
