Cornelius looks more like a plank than a lump but I get the point. At least Bony has started games and scored on a few occassions.

Bony is one of those, scores 1 goal for every 50 chances. Seeing as we're scared to go within 20 yards of the goal, he's a ****in' waste of space!!

I don't Corny being much use for a while, but he could turn out well, trouble is we haven't got time.
Bony could do well for them, but is suffering the same as FC with service I expect, not sure as I haven't watched any of their games except when they played us of course.

Put it this way Welshman, let's just say I like Danish bacon but I wouldn't have bought an £8M porker to get some.

I also doubt I'd spend £12M on a fat French speaker who seems to play with one arm tucked in his shirt and keeps saying "not tonight Josephine"......<laugh>

Bony has scored 7 goals in all competitions, 4 in the PL, so it's not exactly prolific but then it is his first season with a team that haven't a clue how to give him even half decent service, and until that issue is addressed, we don't really know how good he could be, how the hell he can go from top three goal scorer in Europe one season, and duffer the next only Laudrup and our inept midfield could explain, jury is still out on Bony lets see what the second half of the season brings. I remember Scotland coming in late with no preseason for his first season in the championship, and not a sniff of goal first half of that season, but second half, he banged in 26!................<ok>

As for Cornelius, well you can't saying anything until he gets on the pitch, now can you?...................<laugh>

Both are not worth the money paid so far. each of bony's goals in the premiership has cost £4 million each so far....that is a very poor return...Cornelius looks to be worse but like i say the both are not worth it...

Bony got decent service from our midfield today and banged in 2. He's a very good striker, there's just not a great deal he can really do when he doesn't have the ball.
As for corn I can't really comment as I haven't seen him play. But hasn't he been injured most the season anyway? May just be the case that he isn't match fit.

Two very good goals from Bony yesterday to be fair. Firm well placed header, and a hell of a thump with that right boot from outside the area - the sheer power of the shot gave the keeper no chance.

Still looks a bit of a lump like JS in his day, and a bit imobile around the pitch generally, but that wont matter if he does his job and puts the ball in the back of the net.

Cornelius is a complete mystery to us all. In all honesty, still very early to say. There must be something in him, but he needs pitch time and a couple of goals under his belt.

I just hope we have the patience (and time) for it to be brought out, otherwise he could have to be offloaded cheaply. Mr. Tan will not be happy.

I don't watch very many of your games to be honest, but from what I have seen, Bony has appeared off the pace and overweight. Against us, we thought Mr. Blobby had come on.

I've seen him a few times since and haven't been impressed until yesterday. Those two goals he scored could normally have won a game - unfortunately the other side scored 3.

If you can keep them out at your end, Bony goals like that will do the job for you on more than one occasion this season.

All strikers need luck and Bony had it in abundance yesterday .....for the first goal the lino completely forgot the offside rule which allowed him to steal half a yard on the defenders and his first touch for the second was so bad the MC defence all went the wrong way but I do agree the end result were 2 very good finishes <ok>

Agree about the lucky offside decision etc, but put it this way. If Corney had scored those goals, we'd all be having orgasms now.

It's all about being able to replicate what you've done before to justify transfer fees. £12m & £8M is a lot of dosh when taking a chance on someone outside this league with no experience of it.

Those two goals yesterday suggests Bony is doing it (to a limited extent), whereas Corney has yet to have any real chance to do it. All very unfortunate for the lad with injury etc, but we need an £8M striker to be doing the business with half a season already gone.

I don't want to be harsh on Cornelius but having seen him on videos and in the flesh he reminded me of Andy Campbell :( I hope I am wrong and he comes good but the signs are not there at the moment.

To be fair no Man City player appealed for the offside, so you cannot put all blame on the linesman, it was far tighter than you make out considering the action that was happening around Bony at the moment the pass was made. Also, your comment about the second goal is a bit silly. The only bad play from the second goal was the Man City defenders being too afraid of Bony and not closing him down, they effectively stood off him because all day they were bouncing off him. He is incredibly strong on the ball so they gave him a wide berth, that proved to be their mistake.

Anyhow, Cardiff must keep hold of Corn. He can be loaned next season to whoever is promoted from Championship and that way he get his game time and grow in confidence.

I didn't think he was offside until I saw the replay & to be fair it was close but he took it well. The second goal was again well taken and overall I thought he gave Kompany a hard time for most of the game although he did look a bit ponderous at times.
